Special Session for Startups

Optics and Photonics has become a discipline in itself with worldwide growth shaped by academia as well as industry. The Optics industry in India is not very large at present, however, we would like to recognize Optics based start-ups in India with a special session at the OSI Symposium. We invite the participation of start-ups who use Optics based technologies for their products. All application areas e.g. healthcare, defence, communications, etc. are welcome. Conference abstract may be submitted in the format described on the conference Submission Page. The abstract may contain a brief description of Optics based technology, product development status and applications. Kindly include information about the core team, location and timeline of the start-up in one short paragraph.

The presentations will be 15 minutes each including 3 minutes for Q&A.

Participants selected for presentation in this session will be informed via email along with other regular accepted papers.

Cash awards of Rs.20,000/- and Rs.10,000/- are planned for the first and second-best presentations. Certificates shall be issued to all the participating start-ups.
