Post the food order for lab analysis
Posting the meal
If you have arrived until here, thank you very much for your contribution and for agreeing to send your meal to our accredited laboratory for analysis. To do this, please follow the instructions below. Refer to the video as well to help you out.
STEP 1: Find a box or a padded bag (e.g., any small Amazon cardboard box or those supplied by the Post Office)
STEP 2: Place the whole (wrapped, labelled, and frozen) meal in a box or padded bag and close it securely.
STEP 3: Make the label and stick it to the box.
Address it to:
Romer Labs (QUB CS Project)
The Heath Science Park
Runcorn
Cheshire WA7 4QX
STEP 4: If convenient, take a photo of the label.
STEP 5: Visit your Post Office and mail the item (the estimated cost for a small parcel is £3.35).
STEP 6: Keep the post office receipt and photograph it as soon as possible.
This is important to claim for the £40 Amazon Voucher. Please note that this is a standard voucher that you will receive and even if you pay a bit less or more than £40 in all cases you will get a £40 voucher back. We estimate that you will end up with a compensation of around £10, given that the rest of the money would have to get spent to order the food samples as well as to post them to our laboratory for analysis.
Now tell us some details about posting
STEP 7: Let us know when and how you posted your sample.
We need this to track any results back to you.
How to claim my £40?
STEP 8. Send us a photo of the post office receipt with an email to citizen.science@qub.ac.uk as you did with the previous photos using the title ‘Food Sensitive CS Voucher Claims’ to claim your £40 Amazon Voucher. Please do not forget to mention your first and last name in the body of the email.
We really hope that you will enjoy being part of our project and we promise to share with you the results of the samples as soon as we get them.
If you would like to discuss any of this or learn more about food allergen sampling analysis, contact us by email at citizen.science@qub.ac.uk.
Thank you very much for sending the samples and we hope you enjoy the process and find the information you learned useful.
