How to Delete Your FomNi Account and Data

You can request the permanent deletion of your FomNi – Discover Events account and the personal data associated with it by contacting us directly.

How to Submit a Deletion Request

Option 1: On the App Menu

1. Open the app and click the user icon on the top right

2. On the list of actions, find ‘Delete Account’ and click

3. Read the prompt warning and confirm by clicking ‘Delete Account’

Option 2: Through Email Request

1. Send an email to otioemmanuel9@gmail.com from the email address linked to your FomNi account.

2. Use the subject line: "Request for Account Deletion - FomNi".

3. In the body of the email, clearly state that you wish to permanently delete your FomNi account and all associated data.

4. You may be asked to verify your identity to protect your account security.

What Happens After You Request Deletion?

• Verification: We will first verify that the request comes from the legitimate account owner.

• Processing: Once verified, we will process your deletion request within a maximum of 7 business days.

• Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation when your data has been deleted.

Data That Will Be Deleted

Upon successful account deletion, we will permanently remove the following personal data from our active systems:

• Your user profile information (name, email address, phone number)

• Your account preferences and settings

• Your link to your events, event preferences, saved events, and interests

• Your app activity, interactions, and engagement history

• Any other personal data directly associated with your account

Data We May Retain (As Required by Law)

In certain circumstances, we are legally obligated to retain specific data even after an account deletion. This may include:

• Financial Transaction Records: Information related to ticket purchases or payments (e.g., transaction ID, amount, date) may be retained for up to 7 years for accounting, tax, and audit compliance.

• Legal Records: Data necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or protect our legal rights.

• Anonymous Data: We may retain aggregated or anonymized data that cannot be used to identify you personally.

Any retained data is kept securely in isolated systems and will be deleted at the end of the legally mandated retention period.
