About Us
Friends of Derry Hill school is the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for Derry Hill Primary School in Derry Hill, Wiltshire. Our PTA brings together parents, carers, teachers and staff with a shared goal: helping our children enjoy the very best school experience possible. By working in partnership with the school, we raise funds, organise events and create opportunities that enrich learning, strengthen our community and make lasting memories for our children.
Last year we raised over £6,000 and supported projects such as the school pantomime trip, leavers books, planetarium and more through events such as our Cake Bakes, Christmas Bonanza, Water & Wine fete stall and Disco. We have many more exciting events and projects planned for 2026/27.
Families and friends can get involved in many ways - from joining the committee or volunteering at events, to donating raffle prizes or simply showing up to take part. Everyone makes a difference!

2026 AGM
Friday 9-October-2026 9:15am
We need your support on Friday 9th October at 9.15am for the annual AGM. This is a really important event as we need a minimum number of 35 attendees to allow the meeting to go ahead. The meeting usually only takes about 20minutes, and must take place annually. We review the charity's yearly activities, elect the leadership committee, and present financial accounts to our members including the school and parents of the teachers we support. Please come along to the school hall straight after the morning drop-off. We need attendees, so please invite family members along too!
We are also looking for a new Treasurer. No experience or accounting background needed. See the poster below for more info.

FoDHS is looking for a new treasurer to help manage our finances and keep our fundraising on track! No accounting experience is needed, and a good handover is available. For more info, see the poster below.

We are at the start of the next school year and we had our first committee meeting at the Lansdowne Arms on Monday 7th September.
