Welcome to Focus Academy

We enable children and adults to build confidence in their skills by providing them with knowledge, training and guidance to enhance their proficiency. This valuable experience in dancing, music, physical fitness, technology and English, Focus Academy trains students for practical and theoretical examinations held by local and foreign institutes. We assist them to participate for various competitions. We have talented, active and well-qualified teachers for the relevant subjects who work with dedication. We have been preparing various activities with great pleasure to train the students.

What we teach ?

Dancing

Dance, according to scientific opinion, is a rhythm of all physical and human phenomena in the world. Rhythm is inherent in us. The internal processes of the body, such as the pulse of our heart, take place at a constant speed according to a certain rhythm. There is an interaction between movement and emotion. This interaction results in a spontaneous jump in pleasure, a movement of the facial muscles, trembling of the lips, and a restless posture.

Dance is a theatrical art selected from this movement of man. New value is given to this by the actors involved in the dance and the cultures they represent. We provide excellent training in Kandyan dance and related aspects including singing and playing. We have also facilitated children to engage in various dances. Ballet, Western dance, Bharatha Natyam are also given to our children to master.

Music

Music is an art. It spans a wide range of instruments and vocal techniques. This is done either by the instruments alone or orally or by combining both. Enjoying music can bring physical and mental healing to a person. It can relieve stress, anger and sadness in human beings. We have provided the opportunity for students studying music at our institute to acquire knowledge of Eastern and Western music and thereby enhance their innate abilities.

Robotics

With the evolving technological world, we have realized that it is very important to direct our next generation towards robotics. Without new technological experience, the progress of that generation can be limited. Also, an era has begun in which children are becoming lonely with IoT devices. We specialize in having a range of courses designed to integrate with family and friends, incorporating the technical knowledge needed in everyday life and the techniques that can be applied to them.

English Language

Karate

The art of karate has become primarily an outstanding art. Today, the art of karate is popular all over the world. Karate also improves self-confidence, improves self-esteem, reduces stress, improves strength and endurance, improves agility, improves balance, improves patience and humility, and promotes perseverance. Also we teach to respect each other, to be able to focus and to be at peace and calm. In our institute we teach Shotokan style. Shotokan was created in Tokyo in 1938 by Gichin Funakoshi, considered by many to be modern karate’s founding master. Shotokan is the most popular Karate style taught around the world.
