OUR MISSION:
To raise money and public awareness in the community to support the services and programs of the library.
Here are some of the ways our events and fundraising do that:
Your support helps:
• Maintain open hours
• Purchase new materials including: Books, DVD's, Periodicals, eBooks
• Continue special programs including: Children's Reading, Adult literacy, Summer Reading Program, etc.
Purchased the outside patio tables in front of the library for the community for the new library location at Dairyland Rd.
For the new library, we purchased and gifted all the tables and chairs in the main area of the library to create a cozy reading and working area to take in the incredible view. Also the chairs around all the computers.
We facilitated the donation of original works of art from a Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians to the library that now hang throughout the library on permanent display. You can read about the donation presentation and some of the pieces meanings here in the Santa Barbara Independent and visit them at anytime during library hours.
Stay Tuned.... A special themed bike rack is on its way!
The funding support from the Friends of the Buellton Library goes beyond just the tangible assets, programs and materials. By offering free programs and events, we draw people into the library, introduce them to its resources, and help build lasting relationships that increase library use and encourage people to see the library as a trusted place for learning, connection, and community. Thus, furthering our goal to support the long-term vitality of the library.
If you are interested in making a contribution to the Friends of the Library to help support our endeavors through an annual membership or a one time donation, please visit our Membership & Donations Page for ways to contribute.
