Join us for an inaugural speaker series program featuring local author Gary Robinson, a Native American of Choctaw/ Cherokee descent. His presentation will be based on his non-fiction book From Warriors to Soldiers, originally published in 2008 and revised in 2014. Mr. Robinson will share many little-known facts about Native Americans' service in the United States' armed forces from the Revolutionary War to modern times. Their service often went above and beyond the basic call of duty. He will have signed copies of his book available for purchase.
Gary Robinson has written more than 20 books and produced several movies about Native Americans. He embraces topics with a multicultural approach and is dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and environmental health awareness with his work.
