Building the Future, Block by Block

Our Team Over The Years

We currently have seven members in our team. This is our third year of FTC, but we have had prior experience with robotics when we were in FLL. For the past 8 years, we've grown and adapted to the different levels of FIRST Robotics and have enjoyed advocating for STEM learning for all ages!

We started in 2015 as a team of 5 people, in FLL. Our first FLL season was Trash Trek, and while we had some techinical difficulties through the year, what we discover is more important than what we win! This was the gateway to us participating in FIRST for the next 8 years.

Our next year, during the season of Animal Allies, we had 9 team members. After learning some things and improving strategies from the previous year, we had new ideas on how to appreach the season. That year, we won the Champions award in the Folsom Intel Qualifying Tournament. We were so excited to go on to the North California Championship Tournament, and we won the Programming Award! Our team worked really hard, and it was astonishing to see how much we improved over a year!

After came the Hydrodynamics season, in which we had 8 team members. We continued where we had left off from Animal Allies, using the same principles, and doing the same practices to be at our peak performance. This was the year that we won the Core Values award in the Folsom Intel Qualifying Tournament! We competed in the NorCal Championship Tournament again this year.

Our last year in FLL was Into Orbit, when we had 4 team members. This year was really fun and as our last year in FLL, we knew fully what strategies we wanted to do and how to organize the team. As the years had gone on, we got to know each other better as a team, and we knew how to work with each other well. We had a lot of fun this year, and although we put in a lot of extra time, it didn't feel like work, because we all enjoyed it. We won the Champions award in the Qualifying Tournament in the Folsom Intel, and went on to win the Strategy and Innovation awards at the NorCal Championship tournament!

We had so many wonderful times with FLL, but we decided to move on to FTC for the next year. And here we are!
