About Us

Hari

Hi, I'm Hari and I have been doing robotics for 8 years, and have always enjoyed it. I always have enjoyed Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science, so going into FIRST was a great choice. Over my FIRST experience, I have developed proficiency in Java, CAD, Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems, and the Engineering Design Process, and I look forward to learning more. One of my favorite things about FIRST is that it provides a platform for outreach, where knowledge gained through experience can be passed on to stimulate interest in STEM.

Shreya

My name is Shreya, and I am a sophmore in high school. This is my 9th year of doing robotics, and I have had a lot of fun in that time! I chose to join robotics because I thought it would be fun, and it has been, but aside from that, I found out that I really enjoyed doing it! FIRST gave me so many wonderful experiences, and taught me so much, not just about robotics, but also about people and teamwork. My favorite part of FIRST is going to competitions, competing, meeting new people, and having so much fun!

Ariya

Hi! My name is Ariya and I'm a proud member of the FM493RS. I'm a freshman and I've been a part of the team for 7 years now, and each year only gets better than the last! I joined as I saw that being part of FIRST and their leagues give so many people the chance to experience STEM, and learn everything about it hands-on. Also, through these programs, I was able to influence many more people, just like me! So far, the most enjoyable moment, has been going to the tournaments and meeting new people. The competitive, yet friendly, mood rushes through the air, and it is so much fun!

Kesavan

I'm Kesavan and I have been in robotics since 2015, when I participated in the FLL Trash Trek, and am now currently in FTC. I chose to join robotics because it was a way to combine learning with fun, and to be able to compete with friends and win awards. My most memorable moment was the time that we won the Champion's award in the local FLL QT because it was a time that showed the accomplishments that the team made, to come out with a good result.

Rishabh

Hi, my name is Rishabh and I am in 11th grade. I have been doing FLL for 2 years and FTC for 3 years. I joined robotics because I loved working with my hands and I loved STEM, and robotics was a combination of both. This most enjoyable parts of robotics are always the competitions because there is so much energy and spirt.

Showmen

Hi! I’m Showmen. I’m a high schooler and this is my second year in robotics. I have had a large interest in programming and engineering from a young age and am excited to be able to pursue those interests by joining FIRST. I’m joining FM493rs to be able to pursue those interests in collaboration with a team and be able to take away something from them every season. FTC provides a lot of complex challenges that enhance the experience of robotics. My goal for the season is to be able to improve my skills in STEM and to have fun.

Oviya

Hi! I'm Oviya and this is my 6th year of doing robotics. I am a junior in high school and I've loved robotics ever since I was in 4th grade. I love engineering as well as went into robotics expecting to learn more about engineering and programming but learned even more than just that. Robotics gives you an outlet to meet new people, do critical thinking, and doing hands on learning. I joined FTC to get more into stem and get more insight into engineering. My goals for this season are to learn more than I did when I started and have fun!
