Deus Ex is easily my favourite game of all time, I mean, it's an absolute masterpiece!
The thing with Deus Ex, it's not the best in any area, but there is no single game that trumps it in all areas. The hacking is dogshit and enemies are blind. Guns feel weird to use and are based off of stats. The story telling and Immersive Sim Systems, though, might be up there with good stuff in gaming history, but not at the top in general.
What makes Deus Ex so special to me is that it's one of the only games that's part of all my favourite genres- RPG, Immersive Sim, and Stealth.
After first playing Shock 2, when I went back to another good old Deus Ex playthrough I noticed something, these games are actually really alike gamplay wise.
Shock 2 is an Immersive sim and an RPG, just like Deus Ex, though the level design is much different. Shock 2 still has Stealth elements, though they are incredibly simple and tame. The biggest differnece here though, is that Shock 2 is a horror game.
I don't even know what makes this game so special for me, it's just really fun.
That's right, I'm putting a whole ass series here.
Metal Gear games have a special spot in my heart, I love every single one of them, and can't and never will get enough of!
All of the MGS games include small details and every single run of a game I find out something new that I never knew of before.
MGS3 is by far my favourite in the series, simply for the story, but I love all the other games as well.
Actually, I absolutely despise this game, but I find it fun and keep coming back to it. I only have about like 500 hours clocked on it, but it's honestly one of the best skill-based competetive shooters out there, if not the best, and has a formula that, simply, just works.
Until you get CSGO'd that is...
