These Membership Terms (the “Membership Terms”) govern your purchase and use of an auto-renewable Flow Note subscription (“Membership”). They form an agreement between you and the independent developer of Flow Note (“Flow Note,” “Developer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Please read these Membership Terms before purchasing. By starting a free trial, purchasing, renewing, restoring, or using a Membership, you agree to these Membership Terms.
These Membership Terms supplement the Flow Note Terms of Use and Flow Note Privacy Policy, which are incorporated by reference.
If these Membership Terms conflict with the Terms of Use on a subscription-specific matter, these Membership Terms control. The Terms of Use control all other matters, including license terms, acceptable use, disclaimers, liability limitations, governing law, and dispute provisions. Mandatory consumer protections and applicable Apple terms apply regardless of anything stated in these documents.
You must have authority to use the Apple Account that confirms the purchase. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must authorize the purchase and agree to the applicable terms.
Flow Note currently offers two auto-renewable Membership plans.
Duration: One week.
Reference price: US$19.99 per week, or the local equivalent displayed by Apple.
Introductory offer: An eligible new subscriber may receive a 3-day free trial.
Renewal: Weekly unless canceled.
Duration: One year.
Reference price: US$89.99 per year, or the local equivalent displayed by Apple.
Introductory offer: No free trial unless Apple's purchase interface expressly displays one for your Apple Account.
Renewal: Yearly unless canceled.
The reference prices above describe the intended standard offers as of the Effective Date. Your actual localized currency, taxes, price, offer eligibility, billing period, and renewal terms are displayed in Apple's purchase-confirmation interface before you authorize payment. If this document, an in-app label, or other promotional copy differs from Apple's purchase-confirmation interface, the Apple interface controls the purchase.
While Apple reports an active Membership entitlement, Membership provides the following premium benefits:
Removal of the free recording-minute quota. Flow Note does not apply its free-user recording-minute allowance while your Membership entitlement remains active.
AI summaries. You may access premium interfaces that generate summaries and key points from eligible transcript text after you enable AI text processing.
AI translation. You may translate eligible transcript or note text into languages supported by the current App after you enable AI text processing.
Not every Flow Note feature is exclusive to Members. Transcription playback, recording organization, and document-export features may be available independently of Membership and are not promised as Membership-only benefits by these Membership Terms.
References in the App to “unlimited” recording or transcription mean that Flow Note does not apply its free-user minute quota while the entitlement is active. They do not guarantee infinite or uninterrupted capacity. Device storage, battery level, operating-system behavior, memory, network access, Apple Speech availability, OpenAI availability, supported languages, technical safeguards, maintenance, and reasonable anti-abuse protections may constrain use.
Eligible new Weekly Pro subscribers may receive a 3-day free trial. Apple, not Flow Note, determines eligibility based on the Apple Account, subscription group, territory, prior offers, and Apple's rules. Seeing trial-related text in the App does not by itself establish eligibility; the Apple purchase-confirmation interface shows whether the trial applies to your purchase.
If Apple confirms a 3-day free trial, Membership begins immediately and the Weekly Pro benefits are available during the trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription automatically converts to a paid Weekly Pro subscription and renews at US$19.99 per week or the localized renewal price shown by Apple.
Yearly Pro does not include a free trial unless Apple's purchase interface expressly presents one. Any promotional, introductory, offer-code, or win-back offer is subject to Apple's displayed eligibility, duration, price, and redemption rules.
Only Apple can determine whether an offer was successfully redeemed. Flow Note cannot manually grant, reset, extend, or guarantee trial eligibility through these Membership Terms.
Membership is sold through Apple as an in-app purchase using StoreKit 2. Apple controls the purchase-confirmation interface and charges the payment method associated with your Apple Account after you authorize the transaction.
Apple determines and processes the applicable localized price, currency conversion, sales tax, value-added tax, other transaction charges, payment credentials, receipts, and billing records. Flow Note does not receive or store your complete payment-card number.
Review Apple's confirmation interface carefully before completing a transaction. The amount and offer shown there are the amount and offer you authorize, even if a cached, fallback, reference, or comparative price displayed elsewhere differs.
Your carrier, bank, card issuer, or payment provider may impose separate data, currency-conversion, or payment charges. Those charges are not controlled by Flow Note.
Weekly Pro and Yearly Pro automatically renew until canceled.
Weekly Pro: Renews for another one-week period.
Yearly Pro: Renews for another one-year period.
Unless Apple or mandatory law specifies different timing, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the free trial or current billing period to avoid the next renewal charge. Apple may charge your Apple Account within the 24-hour period before the current period expires.
The renewal price is the price Apple displays or otherwise communicates for your subscription, subject to Apple's price-change, notice, and consent rules. Renewal can fail because of payment, account, territory, store, or technical conditions outside Flow Note's control.
You can manage or cancel Membership through your Apple Account subscription settings. You may use Apple's subscription-management page or the subscription controls provided in iOS or the App Store.
Canceling turns off future automatic renewal. It normally does not immediately terminate a paid Membership. Premium access generally remains available until the end of the current paid period, subject to any refund, revocation, billing, or entitlement status reported by Apple.
Deleting Flow Note does not cancel Membership. Disabling OpenAI processing, deleting a recording, or deleting local App data also does not cancel Membership. You must cancel through Apple if you do not want future renewal charges.
Flow Note cannot cancel an App Store subscription on your behalf because Apple controls the subscriber's Apple Account and billing relationship.
Flow Note provides a Restore Purchases option. Restoration asks Apple to synchronize eligible purchases and subscription entitlement for the Apple Account currently used with the App Store.
Restoration requires the same Apple Account or another account arrangement that Apple recognizes as entitled. Availability across supported devices is governed by Apple's account, storefront, subscription-group, Family Sharing, and platform rules. These Membership Terms do not promise Family Sharing unless Apple expressly shows the subscription as shareable.
Restoring Membership restores only the eligible StoreKit entitlement. It does not restore local recordings, audio files, transcripts, summaries, translations, preferences, or export files. Flow Note does not provide app-managed content synchronization. Apple device or computer backups may separately contain App data according to the user's backup settings and Apple's behavior.
Apple may report a subscription as active, expired, in a billing-retry period, in a billing grace period, revoked, refunded, upgraded, downgraded, or otherwise changed.
During an Apple-authorized grace period or billing-retry state, Flow Note may continue premium access when the entitlement information available from Apple supports access. Access may end if payment is not recovered, the grace period ends, Apple reports no active entitlement, or the transaction is revoked or refunded.
When Membership expires or is revoked, Flow Note may return the App to free-access limits and restrict premium AI summary or translation interfaces. Expiration does not delete locally stored recordings or note content. Content created while Membership was active remains subject to the App's available local-content and deletion controls, but continued access to a premium interface may require an active entitlement.
Entitlement updates may be delayed by network availability, App Store service status, device state, or Apple processing. Flow Note may use a temporary local entitlement cache while refreshing status from Apple.
Apple processes Membership payments and decides App Store refund requests under its policies. Flow Note cannot issue an App Store refund directly.
To request a refund, visit Apple's Report a Problem page and follow Apple's instructions. Refund approval, timing, payment reversal, and any resulting entitlement revocation are controlled by Apple.
Except where Apple approves a refund or applicable law requires otherwise, subscription charges are non-refundable, including for partially used billing periods, unused benefits, failure to cancel before renewal, or deletion of the App.
Nothing in these Membership Terms limits cancellation, cooling-off, refund, or other consumer rights that cannot legally be waived in your jurisdiction.
Membership includes access to optional summary and translation interfaces powered by OpenAI. Membership alone does not grant permission to send text to OpenAI and does not override a prior refusal.
Before Flow Note sends eligible text to OpenAI, you must enable AI text processing. When you request a summary or translation, Flow Note may send selected note or transcript text, request instructions, language information, and ordinary network metadata to the OpenAI API. Flow Note does not send audio files to OpenAI for these text-summary and translation features.
You can disable AI text processing in Flow Note Settings. Disabling it stops future OpenAI summary and translation requests while leaving non-AI Membership benefits available. It does not undo processing already completed, remove local output automatically, or control information already retained by OpenAI under its terms and legal obligations.
According to OpenAI's API Data Controls, OpenAI API inputs and outputs are not used to train or improve OpenAI models by default unless the API customer opts in. Default abuse-monitoring logs may include prompts, responses, and related metadata and may be retained for up to 30 days, subject to approved data controls and OpenAI's legal and safety exceptions. Flow Note does not promise Zero Data Retention unless that control is expressly verified and disclosed.
Flow Note uses Apple Speech for live or prerecorded transcription. Because on-device-only recognition is not required for every request, audio selected for transcription may be transmitted to Apple. OpenAI and Apple processing are described further in the Flow Note Privacy Policy.
AI and speech-recognition results may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, non-unique, or unavailable. They are productivity tools, not legal, medical, financial, accounting, employment, or other professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing results before relying on or sharing them.
Prices, taxes, offers, currencies, and available plans may change. Apple manages price-change notices and requests subscriber consent where required by Apple's policies or applicable law. If consent is required and not provided, the subscription may expire at the end of the applicable billing period.
We may add, modify, replace, or discontinue Membership features when reasonably necessary for product development, security, law, provider changes, compatibility, or service operation. We will continue to provide the ongoing value required for an auto-renewable subscription and will provide notice or other remedies where required by applicable law.
A change to a feature does not authorize a price different from the amount Apple presents or communicates for the applicable transaction. Material changes apply subject to existing paid periods, Apple's rules, and mandatory consumer protections.
Membership benefits depend on supported hardware, operating-system versions, permissions, device resources, network connectivity, available languages, and third-party services such as Apple Speech and OpenAI. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a particular processing speed, error-free output, or support for every language or device.
Membership is intended for the subscriber's own personal and internal professional or business use under the Terms of Use. You may not resell access, share access in violation of Apple's rules, automate abusive request volumes, bypass technical controls, interfere with providers, or use Membership unlawfully.
We may apply reasonable technical, security, and anti-abuse measures that do not contradict the purchased subscription. We may temporarily limit a feature to prevent misuse, address a security incident, comply with law, protect third-party services, or maintain service stability.
You may end future renewal by canceling through Apple. Your Membership entitlement otherwise ends when it expires, is revoked or refunded, or Apple reports that it is no longer active.
We may restrict connected premium services for material violations of these Membership Terms or the Terms of Use, fraud, abuse, security threats, legal requirements, or misuse of third-party services. Any restriction is subject to mandatory consumer law and does not independently authorize us to charge your Apple Account.
Termination or expiration does not erase accrued payment obligations, prior processing, local content, provisions intended to survive, or rights and remedies arising before termination.
We may update these Membership Terms to reflect changes to Membership, Apple requirements, OpenAI or other service providers, law, security, or business practices. We will post the revised version at the in-app Membership link and update the Effective Date.
Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent. Changes do not retroactively alter a completed Apple transaction. If you do not agree to future terms, cancel Membership before the next renewal and stop using affected premium features.
Continued use after revised Membership Terms take effect constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
