Where we work

This map shows a few of our study systems, the locations of many of our cooperators, and the most recent locations of our lab graduates. Most of our research efforts are in large river systems throughout the US including the Colorado, Apalachicola, Neuse, Cape Fear, Rio Grande, Gila, Chassahowitzka, Suwannee, and St. Johns (FL) rivers. We work closely with different management agencies, academic partners, and consulting companies in the US and would like to expand our collaborations internationally. Our graduates can be found working on everything from subsistence fisheries in large rivers in Alaska to bluefin tuna assessments in the Atlantic Ocean and native fish conservation in the Peruvian Amazon. Students from our lab have continued into PhD programs and others work as researchers in private industry, for NGOs, academia, and state and federal management agencies including USFWS, USGS, and NOAA.
