'Floating Roots' is an interactive installation exploring the cultural, religious, and political history of Pokkali rice paddy farming, a traditionally farmed, salt and flood resilient rice found across the country, especially in Ernakulam, Thrissur, and Alappuzha districts.
രാജ്യത്തുടനീളം, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് എറണാകുളം, തൃശൂർ, ആലപ്പുഴ ജില്ലകളിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്ന, പരമ്പരാഗതമായി കൃഷി ചെയ്യുന്ന, ഉപ്പിനെയും വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കത്തെയും പ്രതിരോധിക്കുന്ന നെല്ലായ പൊക്കാളി നെൽകൃഷിയുടെ സാംസ്കാരിക, മത, രാഷ്ട്രീയ ചരിത്രം പര്യവേക്ഷണം ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു സംവേദനാത്മക ഇൻസ്റ്റാളേഷനാണ് 'Floating Roots'.
