To strengthen this Core Value, we learn about and explore new ideas.
While working on our Innovation Project, we researched many things such as the importance of physical activity, what exercise does to your body, and what it would take to implement our idea as a real solution.
This Core Value is important because we learn how to enjoy and celebrate our work.
We had a lot of fun working on our projects, throwing in as much humor as we could while balancing it with research we had found. Our favorite joke is calling the plastic bottle BUBBA!
A critical Core Value, teamwork means that we embrace being stronger together.
Though working as a team often has us apart while working on different parts of the competition, we all eventually come together as a team and check out every piece that was worked on.
This helps us to see where we can grow in certain aspects and where we can divert the focus to.
With this Core Value, we expand our minds to think creatively and we persist when new problems block our way.
The robot has had many developments and obstacles, but we were able to overcome these with prototypes and testing.
Needed for the value of Teamwork, this Core Value is where we respect our teammates and our differences. We welcome teammates with various levels of communication, social and academic skills - we find that our difference are what makes us stronger.
We spread out he different Lego mats and robots amongst the team so everyone on the team could get the experience with the robot. We also had a wide verity of age groups and had the older kids help the younger kids with STEM and robotics.
Through the other five Core Values, we use this Core Value to impact our community.
We hope to impact our community by positively impacting our environment through our innovation projects.
