Cruz Vieja

Cruz Vieja is our favorite flamenco in Jerez. The stage is the best, the "regulars", like Thiago, who is almost always the guitarist, and the usual guests like Maria and El Turan (singers), Marta and Carmen (dancers) are the people we like the most.

Although it is unfair to individualize names because there are many that are so good.

The (large) audience is friendly with many familiar faces.

The owners and staff are wonderful and very welcoming, and the food is simple but excellent and well priced.

We especially enjoyed the flamenco show on Sunday at lunch time, where we booked the table directly in front, and on the right of the stage: almost every week we are in the city. It is a drug.

We have recorded most of the presentations on video during the years before 2019, when we were here on vacation, from England or Lanzarote.

Then, back home, we played those videos to accompany our dinner and took us back to Cruz Viejo.

Now that we have a vacation home here, it seems foolish to continue recording on video, but we can not stop.

Cruz Vieja es nuestro flamenco favorito en Jerez. El escenario es el mejor, los "habituales", como Thiago, que casi siempre es el guitarrista, y los invitados habituales como Maria y El Turan (cantantes), Marta y Carmen (bailarinas) son las personas que más nos gusta ver.

Aunque es injusto individualizar nombres porque hay muchos que son tan buenos.

La audiencia (grande) es amigable con muchas caras conocidas.

Los propietarios y el personal son maravillosos y muy acogedores, y la comida es sencilla pero excelente y está bien de precio.

Disfrutamos especialmente del espectáculo de flamenco del domingo a la hora del almuerzo, donde reservamos la mesa directamente en frente, ya la derecha del escenario: casi todas las semanas estamos en la ciudad. Es una droga.
