Swirl stabilized burner for liquid fuels like kerosene. Aerated fuel injection is attempted to improve the spray atomization.
Aerated injectors not only improve the atomization quality but as these fine droplets mix efficiently with the swirling main air it also promotes an efficient combustion process.
Preliminary tests show that the burner has the capability to produce a stable flame over a wide range of operating conditions, with sufficient atomization even at relatively low injection pressures and low thermal powers when compared to conventional liquid fuel burners
