SEA TEACHER ACTIVITIES
OPENING CEREMONY
The Opening Ceremony at Adamson University, Manila, was an unforgettable moment for me as a SEA Teacher Batch 10 student. The warm welcome from the lecturers, students, and the entire team made me feel accepted and even more excited to start this journey.
This event was not just about introductions; it also marked the beginning of a new learning experience. I felt inspired to give my best, learn from the education system here, and build meaningful connections with everyone involved. I am grateful for this opportunity and ready to face the challenges and valuable experiences ahead. Thank you to Adamson University and everyone who welcomed me so warmly. I hope this journey will be an important step in my growth as an educator.
CLASSROOM OBSERVATION
Observing Grade 9 and 10 classes at Adamson University, Manila, as part of the SEA Teacher Batch 10 program was an insightful experience. I witnessed how teachers managed the classroom, engaged students, and used various teaching strategies to create an interactive learning environment.
Each class had its own unique dynamic. Grade 9 students were curious and eager to learn, while Grade 10 students showed more confidence in expressing their ideas. I also observed how teachers effectively used technology and clear communication to help students understand the lessons.
This experience gave me valuable insights into the Philippine education system and inspired me to improve my teaching skills. I am grateful for this opportunity and excited to apply what I have learned in my future teaching journey. More than that, I also gained a deeper appreciation for the role of educators in shaping students' learning experiences, which motivates me to become a better teacher in the future.
TEACHING IN CLASSROOM
Teaching at Adamson University was an unforgettable experience. At first, I was nervous, but the students' enthusiasm and curiosity helped me feel more confident. During my lessons, I used interactive activities like group discussions and presentations to keep students engaged. One of the most memorable moments was teaching argumentative essay writing. At first, some students struggled to organize their ideas, but after I gave examples and guided them through exercises, they improved. Seeing their progress made me really happy. One challenge I faced was adjusting my teaching style to fit the class. Some students were very active, while others were more shy. I learned how to create a comfortable learning environment so that everyone felt encouraged to participate.
From this experience, I realized that teaching is not just about sharing knowledge. It is also about connecting with students, understanding their needs, and making learning enjoyable. This program taught me a lot about cross-cultural communication and adaptability. I am truly grateful for this opportunity and hope to continue growing as a teacher in the future.
FINAL DEMO
When I first stepped into Adamson University as a SEA Teacher, I felt a mix of excitement, nervousness, and hope. From the first day until the last, this journey has been truly unforgettable, especially during my final demo teaching. Standing in front of the class for the last time, I realized how much I had grown. Teaching, interacting with students, answering their questions, and seeing their enthusiasm made all the hard work worth it. Their smiles and responses gave me a feeling of fulfillment. 😊
But the most touching moment was when some students came to me after class and said, "Thank you for teaching us, we will miss you!" 😭💖 Those simple words meant so much. It showed that teaching is not just about sharing knowledge but also about building connections and inspiring others.
This SEA Teacher journey taught me valuable lessons—about courage, sincerity in teaching, and how education is not just about lessons, but also about touching lives. Thank you, Adamson University, for this incredible experience! 💙 These memories will always have a special place in my heart.
