As a 55-year old wife and mother of two grown children, I look back over the years and can recall many instances where I was not happy with the state of my own body.
As a teenager, I was a shy, scrawny beanpole with poor body-image and low self-esteem. As I grew into my college years, I compared myself to the fitness models that would grace the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit editions. I would secretly pick apart faults, which led to binging, purging and over exercising behaviors. When I look back on the pictures of myself I wonder where my head was at. I looked fine, but because of society's standards of what was considered beautiful, I punished myself as I pushed harder to achieve this ideal.
As years passed, came marriage and children, and I continued to obsess, at this time I was 30lbs. heavier. Baby weight I called it, and so I dropped and carried those extra pounds until my youngest was 20. Over those years, I bought into almost every fitness trend; Step Aerobics, Tae Bo, Buns of Steel - Denise Austin, Kathy Smith, Jillian Michaels - The Total Gym, Body Pump, P90X, you name it. I tirelessly worked out through each one of these programs and was never completely satisfied with the results, because my nutrition wasn't in check. In my mind it was 80% fitness and 20% nutrition. In reality, it was the opposite, but I didn’t know that, even as a health educator.
It wasn’t until 2016 when I discovered the concept of macronutrition where I started to see real results. It was through the process of food tracking where I learned about accountability and consistency. This journey into awareness led me onto a path where I was finally able to lose that 30lbs of “baby” weight. I learned about moderation and balance, the importance of macros and calories, and how to properly fuel my body.
I became obsessed and spent countless hours researching and learning about what was important for the body in regards to nutrition and fitness. I began resistance training and really focusing on my food intake as a means for fuel in my workouts. It wasn’t until this time, that I really began to understand the influence that food can have over the composition of your body. It was like I had discovered the fountain of youth and I wanted to share everything I learned and thus grew my passion for helping others. And so I obtained my NASM Macro Nutrition Coach and Weight Loss Certifications and have continued to learn about macronutrition each and every day.
I've been where you are, tired of living in restriction, dealing with ups and downs, being confused, wasting money, and blindly trying to figure things out while moving from day-to-day.

As your coach we'll look at your nutrition & eating habits, your exercise routine, restfulness & mindset. We'll also take into consideration your current lifestyle, so we can set meaningful and measureable goals that create everlasting change.
I won't create a meal plan or make you give up the things you enjoy and I would never force you out of your comfort zone into an unrealistically styled exercise program.
I will however, be there to motivate & inspire you. I will help you to overcome barriers and give you the push you need when necessary.
