SIGHT WORDS

Look at this week’s video on Sight Words (Snap word, Jump out words, High frequency words). After looking at the video, on the page below write down the sight words you remembered.

Learning Target-I can look at words and figure them out by using what I know about letters and sounds, so I can read sight words. I know I got it when I can read common sight words. I can locate a given sight word.

Learning Target-I can sound out sounds correctly so I can read and understand books at my level well. I know I got it when I can understand and tell about what I am reading.

Speaking and listening-I can use new words and phrases every day. I can use new words I’ve learned from speaking with others, reading them and having them read to me, and answering questions.

Continue our learning on opinion writing. Look at the video on opinion writing (3) three and the video "The Tale of Peter Rabbit." TODAY WE WILL WRITE AN OPINION STATEMENT ABOUT AN EVENT IN THE BOOK. Was the event silly, funny, sad, scary, happy, etc? For example; I think the book, “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” was silly. The part when Peter lost his jacket was funny because Peter had to run away without his jacket. Give reasons why you wrote this opinion statement. Write all your answers using complete sentences on the page below then submit.

Learning Target-I can share what I think about a topic, so I can write an opinion on a topic. I know I got it when I can write an opinion sentence.
