Expectations and Schedule

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Schools will be closed for the following weeks; however, learning will occur online via this website and educational links provided on this website. Questions or concerns contact us through ClassDojo. The learning instruction on this website will be on-demand, meaning you can access this learning any time. Notification will be sent out of any live learning that will occur. The following are the expectations that are required for this learning experience:

Parent/Guardian Expectations:

○ Must sign up for ClassDojo

○ View the first-grade website daily

○ Help your student complete their daily assignments and submit them to their teacher in

a timely manner

○ Assignments are posted for the week - we understand that families are sharing devices

and may need more time to complete the assignments. However, all assignments must

be completed by Friday afternoon.

Student Expectations:

○ View the first-grade website with your parent/guardian daily

○ Review the daily assignments

○ When doing your assignments act as if you are in school. Be respectful of your

parents/guardians as you work together to complete your assignments

○ Read for 10 to 15 minutes a day/night using Raz-Kids or Epic

○ Complete assignments in a timely manner

○ The teachers will be logging in and checking that your work is completed to the best of

your ability.

We hope everyone is safe and is practicing healthy hygiene and social distancing. We miss our learners. Schools (P.S. 104, P.S. 183, and Goldie Maple Academy) will be providing free breakfast, lunch, and dinner, “Grab and Go,” meals for students during this school closure. Also, the New York City Department of Education wants every student who needs a device for remote learning to have one, even if the student does not have internet access at home.
