Pastor Rev. Lewis Harris

Rev. Lewis Harris was called to be the pastor of our congregation in 2018.


Rev. Lewis Harris is a graduate of Paul D. Camp Community College with an Associates of Science degree, Old Dominion University with a Bachelors of Arts degree, and South Eastern Seminary with a Masters in Divinity degree.


Rev. Lewis Harris has had many different life experiences throughout his life. He worked for the Virginia Department of Highways, J.K. Timmons and Associates, Peoples Life Insurance Company, Western Auto Supply Company, SOVAH (Legacy) Hospice, and served in the US Navy. He also has volunteered at God's Storehouse Food Program and SOVAH Martinsville as a volunteer at the information desk and as a volunteer Chaplain.


Since Rev. Lewis Harris entered the ministry, he has served as a Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School Director, Youth Director, Supply Pastor (Layman), and Pastor of three previous churches. He was licensed and ordained at Mt. Tirzah Baptist Church.


Rev. Lewis Harris is happily married to Peggy, his wife. They have three sons and grandchildren.
