The Writing Process

There are several steps that you will  go through as you prepare your assignment. To make the most of the writing process, it's important to allow enough time for all of the stages. It is helpful to work backwards from your deadline, thinking about how long you need to effectively edit and proofread your work. This will then tell you how long you have for the reading, planning and drafting stages. People have different ways of working. You can find lots of ideas about different strategies to try in the sections on planning, drafting, editing and proofreading. You should be able to find some ideas that suit you.
