It is important for both co-teachers to have access to student information.
As co-teachers, you and your partner are both responsible for teaching all the students in the class. Therefore, it is essential that the general education teacher have an understanding of the needs of the students with IEPs in the class. This information should include:
Modifications
Accommodations
Annual Goals and Objectives
Behavior Plan Information (if applicable)
One idea is to create a document to share with your co-teacher at the beginning of the year. Then, they can also refer to the student's information as they plan their sections of the lesson.
Once you share your student IEP information with your co-teacher, consider the following strategies:
Have your co-teacher bookmark the information to refer to as they plan
"Star" it if it's a Google Workspace resource (e.g., Doc, Slides, Sheet, Gmail message)
Pin it to their Chrome tab (Right-click, Pin)
Bookmark it
Allow the co-teacher access to make comments on the resource, so they can add their own feedback, such as observations, used modifications or accommodations, or goal tracking opportunities
When you "Star" a resource, it's easier to access from your Google Drive.
