As co-teachers, it is important to be a part of the decision process for classroom procedures. You want both educators to understand and feel comfortable with the student expectations for the classroom. Otherwise, students will be confused by the inconsistencies and the class will not run as smoothly.

Each year should begin with a meeting about classroom expectations. Compromise will sometimes be necessary because not all teachers agree on the same classroom management philosophy or student procedures. It's important that both partners feel comfortable with the final decisions.
