At Firm Foundations Wellness, our mission is to help individuals rebuild their lives on a strong foundation of faith, purpose, and personal growth. We believe true wellness begins with wholeness—spiritually, emotionally, and mentally—and that through Christ, anyone can find healing, clarity, and direction.
Through faith-based coaching, compassionate support, and guided reflection, we empower individuals to discover who they are in God, release what no longer serves them, and step boldly into the life they were created to live.
Our goal is to provide a safe, judgment-free space for people to heal, grow, and thrive—one step, one prayer, and one breakthrough at a time.
Firm Foundations Wellness is proud to be part of the AKG Network, a collective dedicated to empowering individuals through advocacy, growth, and lasting transformation.
“When God rebuilds your foundation, He restores your future.”

Hi, I’m Sarah Chester — a Certified Life Coach and lifelong believer in the power of growth, resilience, and second chances.
I didn’t grow up with many advantages. My family lived in extreme poverty, and my parents didn’t finish high school until I was an adult. But I watched them rewrite their story — my dad even went on to become a drug and alcohol counselor. Seeing his transformation taught me that no matter where you start, you can always build something stronger.
For me, that truth became real in my own life. I became a nurse and dedicated myself to caring for others, but everything changed when I was hit by a semi-truck and left with a life-altering disability. That moment could have broken me — instead, it became the foundation for a new beginning. Out of that experience, I discovered my calling to help others heal, grow, and rebuild their lives with purpose.
Today, I’m a Certified Life Coach through Trinity Western University, hold a Business Administration Certificate from the Academy of Learning in Abbotsford, BC, and am completing my Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Psychology (Marriage & Family focus) at Trinity Western University.
Through Firm Foundations Wellness, my mission is to help others do what I had to learn to do myself — rebuild from the ground up. Whether you’re navigating personal challenges, relationship struggles, or seasons of change, my goal is to help you create a firm foundation for lasting wellness, healing, and hope. Because every strong life starts with a solid foundation — and it’s never too late to build yours.

My life has been shaped by resilience, faith, and the belief that even the hardest experiences can lead to purpose.
I was born on Easter Sunday in 1992 and placed for adoption at birth. Although I was raised in a loving family, I struggled with identity and belonging from a young age.
As a child, I also experienced unexplained health problems that doctors dismissed for years. It wasn’t until I was 23 that I was finally diagnosed with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder that had affected my body my entire life.
Along the way, I also survived trauma, chronic illness, workplace challenges, and the painful reality of losing the career I loved due to my health.
At one of the lowest points in my life, I prayed for a sign that my life still had meaning. I asked God for a red rose.
Shortly afterward, I went to a church known for healing and miracles and asked for healing from depression. Before I left to go home, I went back to the church and to where I had been sitting in earlier and found a red rose waiting in the exact seat where I had been praying.
That moment reminded me that my life had purpose — even if I didn’t fully understand it yet.
Over time, my experiences taught me something powerful: when systems fail you, when life feels overwhelming, and when everything seems uncertain, growth and purpose are still possible.
Those lessons led me to create AKG Advocacy, a resource that helps people navigate complex healthcare and insurance systems.
AKG stands for Always Keep Going — a phrase that has become the foundation of my life philosophy.
Today, as a life coach, I help people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about their next steps reconnect with their strength, clarity, and purpose.
My mission is simple:
To help people move forward — even when life feels impossible.
Because no matter what challenges you face, your story isn’t over.
Sometimes the most meaningful chapters are still waiting to be written.
