On behalf of the Fire Starter team in Scotland we wish you and all the fire starter hosts good luck for the coming festival. It’s amazing what a small group of people, like yourselves with few resources, other than your passion, creativity and fiery spirit, have managed to achieve. In these complex and difficult times, we need the fire to spread, illuminating all the ways in which we can all create the fires of change across our mental and physical borders.
We have been impressed not only by the sheer number of events you have created, but the diversity of topics, and the breadth of locations across Ireland. This feels like the spark of a vibrant, imaginative Fire Starter Ireland Festival and we look forward to working collaboratively in the future.
Good luck and please send us your photos, reflections, blogs etc. so we can share on our website.
Karen Lawson, Collaborative Learning Lead, Scottish Government
