A national survey on the health, well being and workloads of Fire Instructors in the UK.

This work was funded by East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.

Our first pilot study into the health and inflammatory responses of Fire Instructors conducted and supported by the Fire Service College and Robbie Robertson.

This work was funded by the South East regional Health Management Group, led by Mick South and Matt Lloyd.

Research into the physiological and inflammatory reponses to doing different training exercises - Attacks, Demos and Compartment fires.

This work was funded by the University of Brighton and supported by the Fire College, Kent, East Sussex and Surrey Fire Training Centres.

Our newest study investigating the heat tolerance of fire instructors, shows greatest tolerance in those with the greater exposure histories. Showing heat tolerance is developed over the career.
