PRIVATE EMS OPERATIONS

SERVER MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES: Server Members, hereon referred to as "Personnel", shall, at all times, practice within their Scope of Practice under the standards outlined within the EMS Manual. If personnel are not covered in the manual, they should use their discretion on how best to proceed, or contact an available EMS Supervisor for assistance. Failure to comply with any of the aforementioned may result in immediate server staff action or permanent suspension from member-access permissions to performing EMS roleplay in the future.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES: EMS Supervisors, at the extension of fire department faction supervision- shall monitor the methods and behavior of Private EMTs of the agency or organization they are flagged on as, and provide feedback and guidance in the field in compliance with the information in this curriculum. Supervisors are obligated to report egregious violations to Fire Command staff AND server staff, respectively.

INTERESTING FACTS
Members of the Private EMS section can flag on at their convenience after reviewing the provided training materials and following the department’s policies, with no mandatory time requirements. Participants may respond to general medical calls, assist during special server events in an EMS capacity, or provide coverage for private / public events organized by other server members.

This program helps the SoCal Fire Department Faction maintain staffed ambulances, improve emergency medical response capabilities, and foster greater engagement with advanced levels of EMS care. By offering a flexible and accessible pathway into emergency medical services to educate and encourage those to apply to the main faction itself into more specialized roles, such as being an Advanced Life Support (ALS) provider.
