CALL OUT YOUR FEARS AND DOUBTS
What will prevent you from realizing your wish and achieving success and happiness?
The biggest obstacle is lack of clarity. Writing our purpose statement helps us overcome this challenge.
The next two biggest barriers are fear and doubt. These two obstacles are normal. As Theodore Roosevelt said, "Nothing worth having comes easy." Once we realize that we should expect fear and doubt, instead of resisting them or giving up when they arise, we can identify them and then create a plan to overcome them.
In this section, we will identify our biggest fears and doubts.
In this audio version of The Oprah Winfrey Show, "psychologist Dr. Linda S. Austin— author of What’s Holding You Back?: Eight Critical Choices For Women's Success—discusses the psychological “glass ceiling” that some women face in their lives and careers. She shares the role that fear plays in holding people back and explains how to overcome it. Dr. Austin also coaches women through making critical choices, like taking risks and learning to deal with difficult people. Plus, Oprah talks to Olympian luger Bonny Warner, who shares her success and how she accomplished her life goals."
In his book, The Bravest You: 5 Steps to Fight Your Biggest Fears, Find Your Passion and Unlock Your Extraordinary Life, Adam Smith, identifies the 10 biggest roadblocks to achieving success.
In your notebook, identify your three biggest fears from the list below, or add any other fears that may not be listed.

Doubt about whether you can overcome your past
Doubt that the closest people in your life will understand and support you
Doubting yourself for the times that you’ve failed or made mistakes
Doubt and loss of trust over how you communicate and interact with the people in your life
Doubt about your appearance (both in your mind and how others may observe you)
Doubt about finding a job opportunity or entrepreneurial path that will sustain you
Doubt about your biggest strengths and weaknesses
Doubt that you can overcome the everyday temptations that offer only temporary pleasure, but long-term pain
