Students of Medical and Health Colleges who are affiliated to and/or nominated by Islamic Medical Associations.
“Students” can be extended to include postgraduate medical studies.
Both males and females may be accepted for participation in this camp.
"Medical and Health Colleges” could be the college of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, health sciences or any other health-related college.
“Islamic Medical Associations” (IMAs) should be active, associate, or pending members of FIMA.

1. Camp overview
Question: What is the Camp all about?
It’s an annual gathering of Muslim medical students from all over the world. The students participate in a comprehensive program of educational, cultural, social, sports, tourist, and recreational activities. The operations follow closely the scouting camp system.
The students primarily run the administration of the camp and its activities under supervision by senior doctors.
We expect more than 120 participants representing more than 15 Islamic Medical Associations (IMAs) coming from different parts of the world.
2. Camp Objectives
Question: What are the Objectives of the Camp?
Foster connections among Muslim students of various Islamic Medical Associations (IMAs) and countries.
Enhance mutual understanding and cooperation.
Exchange information and experiences.
Strengthen the involvement of students in IMA activities.
Provide leadership training and organizational skills.
Promote communication and networking among the student chapters of IMAs and other countries.
3. Itinerary and flight details
Question: Do we cover our Travel expenses ?
The individual delegates or the local Islamic Medical Association are responsible for the cost of their arrival /return tickets to the hosting country as well as their entry tickets and Visa fees. The organizing body (IMAKSA/WAMY) will not be responsible for any travel expenses.
Mahram for Females:
"IMAKSA did NOT make it a condition to come with Mahram assuming the delegate will come as one group. However, if anyone wants to bring a Mahram on their own responsibility, we don’t mind but we will not bear any responsibility or commitment toward his financial requirements. He can stay in another room in the same hotel on his own responsibility but the female student should stay with other female participant's rooms. The Mahram will not be counted among the participants”
4. Important Dates
Question: When will the Camp start?
All Participants are expected to arrive at the campsite on Friday 1st. August. The Camp starts on Saturday 2nd. August . We don't allow or encourage delegates to arrive earlier than the announced date of arrival (Friday 1st. August). Any delegate arriving earlier is expected to manage their own transportation as well as accommodation until Friday 1st. August.
5. Question: When will the Camp end?
The Camp will end onWednesday 6th. August so participants are expected to leave for their countries on Thursday 7th. August. We don't allow and encourage delegates to arrive earlier or to leave later than Thursday 7th. August. Any delegates who stay later than this date are expected to manage their own transportation and accommodation.
6. What happens in case of Early arrivals and Late departures outside the formal days of the camp
In case of early arrivals and late departures outside the formal days of the camp, participants / their IMAs will take charge of their costs such as accommodation and meals. The sponsors only cater to them during the stipulated camp period.
7. Camp system and regulations
Question: What are the Camp regulations?
Participants are expected to strictly follow the provided dress code of the camp (Vests and Caps). The formal dress and the ID badges are compulsory to be maintained throughout the camp and during all activities.
Male and female students will be accommodated in separate premises in the camp.
During the event activities males and females will be decently segregated. Both males and females will share the same scientific program sessions in the mornings from 8 AM to 2 PM).
Males and Females will have separate social and recreational activities.
The programs are mandatory for everyone.
Prayers will be performed together in Jamaat as per schedule (all 5 times).
We trust that our dear participants will abide by the program regulations/roles and schedule honestly.
8. Camp Guide Booklet
Question: What is the schedule of all camp activities?
Upon arrival at the Campsite, you will confirm your registration. Thereafter, you will be given the Camp Guide Booklet with the essential information to direct you through the camp.
9. Question: How many Participants are allowed to register from each country?
The Organizing/Host IMAs will register up to 30 participants. Countries with Large/actively participating IMAs will be allowed to register 10 participants while the rest will register 6 participants. The assignment of male and female ratios is left solely for the choice of IMA. We prefer equal representations of male and female students.
10. Nomination of participants by IMAs for registration
Question: How are participants Nominated?
Participants will apply through their local Islamic Medical Association (IMA) which will forward their applications to the Email provided in the announcement and Poster. Those IMAs must be members of the Federation of Islamic Medical Associations (FIMA).
11. Question: Am I allowed to register if I am no longer a student?
The Camp's target audiences are all undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and freshly graduated students from different health fields. “Health” term in this context includes all health-related sciences such as medicine, pharmacy, and nursing.
12. Individual application for registration
Question: Can I apply as an individual, without going through any Islamic Medical Association (IMA)?
No, each participant should register through his/her IMA. Individual applications will not be entertained.
13. Question: How do we apply for VISA to Kenya?
Kenya VISA Application details will be sent to all participants upon Registration approval; Thereafter participants will be required to send their travel details (Departure / Arrival) for proper reception.

14. Expenses
Question: What expenses do we incur?
The IMAs and/or individual delegates are responsible for the cost of their arrival and return tickets to the hosting country as well as their entry Visa fees.
There are NO registration fees for the camp.
Accommodation and meals will be provided free of charge by IMAKSA/WAMY during the sole days of camp activities.
The host IMA will be responsible for local arrangements and transportation of delegates during the camp period.
Participants are responsible for expenses of their stay during days outside the program period if needed.
15. Vaccination
Question: What are the vaccinations required ?
Check with your travel clinic in your country. In general no Malaria precautions needed.
16. Certificates of attendance and/or appreciation
Question: Do we get any Certificates after the Camp?
Certificates of Participation/ Appreciation will be issued via email upon completion of an Evaluation form that will be sent to participants after the Camp by email.
17. Grouping of participants
Question: How are participants grouped during the Camp?
Participants are first divided into Male and Female groups, later the delegates are distributed into groups ensuring that there is a good mix of students from different countries, to enhance the connections.
18. Checking-in and Registration on arrival
Question: How do I Register and check in when I arrive at the Campsite?
As you arrive in the camp area, you will proceed to the Registration Counter, where you will confirm your registration.
19. Question: What do I have to come with to the Camp?
Participants are advised to bring the following items along with them:
Personal needs, documents e.g. certificate of vaccination for Covid-19 and hygienic tools.
Appropriate clothes that suit moderate and rainy weather.
Sports shoes, sports, and swimming clothes.
Materials and items that may be needed for sharing culture and skills.
20. Language of the camp
Question: What Language is used during the Camp?
The official language of the Camp is English
21. Dressing code
Question: What is the Camp dress code?
Participants are expected to strictly follow the dress code of the camp (Vests and Caps). The formal dress code and the ID badges are compulsory to be maintained throughout the camp and during all activities. The booklet has detailed instructions regarding the dress code (which will be distributed one week before the camp).
22. Scientific Program
Question: What does the scientific Program involve?
The Scientific Program involves Lectures by Prominent speakers and trainers from different Countries discussing different aspects revolving around the theme of the Camp.
23. Social and complementary Program
Question: What does the Social and Complementary Program involve?
The Social and Complementary Program involves community services like Health Camps to the local community.
24. Sport Program
Question: What kinds of Sports do we engage in?
Football-Volleyball-badminton-swimming-hiking-etc.

Each participant is responsible for his/her luggage as a room shared with another participant.

Question: How do we manage Laundry during the Camp?
Laundry services are available at the camp resort.
30. Photography
Question: Are we allowed to take any photographs during the Camp?
Yes, allowed and encouraged. We may need to share selected photos.

32. Jamaat Prayers & related activities
Question: How are prayers and related activities organized?
All Prayers will be performed together in Jamaat as per schedule (all 5 times). There will also be time for Fajr Quran circles, Thikr and Post-prayer short talks by students.
33. Emergency medical care
Question: How are Emergency Medical conditions handled during the Camp?
For medical emergencies, the contact information of the person concerned will be found in the Camp Guide Booklet provided on arrival and after confirmation of registration at the Campsite.
34. Internet services
Question: Do we get access to the internet while in the Camp?
Yes, Wifi will be available in certain areas of the camp. You can purchase your own mobile internet package from the airport.
35. Reception and local transportation of delegates to the camp location
Question: In case we land at a distant Airport, will there be transportation to the campsite?
Please make sure you land at the Destination Airport provided in the announcement (Mombasa, Kenya) and on the poster to make it easy for the Host (Kenya) to receive you and provide local transportation to the Campsite. Please note that the camp is in Mombasa city , not Nairobi

36. Leaving outside the camp
Question: Are participants allowed to stay outside the Camp area?
No, Participants must stay at the Campsite during the Camp stipulated period.
37. Presentations about students’ chapters from IMAs
Participating students will be required to make brief and updated presentations about their student chapter and activities in their own IMA.
38. Exchange of gifts among delegates
Question: Are participants allowed to exchange gifts as souvenirs?
Yes, and highly encouraged. During the camp, we will allocate certain appropriate time for exchanging gifts among the groups.
39. Preparation of materials for presentation
Question: How will we prepare materials for presentation during the camp?
Participants are expected to come well prepared with their presentation materials, Secretarial help will be available at the Campsite for any technical and logistic services needed during the Camp.
40. Question: Does my country have an IMA registered in FIMA?
Any IMA that has full or associate membership in FIMA is entitled to participate with their student delegate. To find out the membership status of your IMA, you can check FIMA website: www.fimaweb.net. Or contact FIMA Secretary General.
41. Obtain a copy of the presented lectures
Question: How will participants obtain a copy of the presented lectures?
There will be a secretary at the Campsite to be contacted for any secretarial services/ documents needed during the Camp.
42. Question: Communication with camp administration for further inquiries or requests
Contact information for the person in charge will be given in the Camp Guide Booklet. In case of any inquiries and requests, do not hesitate to communicate with us by email: fimasac@gmail.com. In addition, Camp supervisors will be available throughout the camp period.
43. Evaluation of the event and Certificates
Question: How will the event be evaluated?
Evaluation forms will be sent to all Participants at the end of the Camp. Upon completion and submission of the forms, Certificates of Appreciation and Participation will be issued and sent to you.
