While we cater for girls up to age 14 in our younger competitive squads we also offer a girls only session for those who wish to partake.
In conjunction with Fife Council and Active Schools we are able to offer this session for free. A key tenet of BasketballScotland development plan is the furthering of female participation in the sport and we are happy that we can offer these free sessions to assist in promoting that plan.
Note that there is no competition related to this particular squad currently, though we hope to add this soon (however, it would not be able to be provided for free like the session).

Basketball Scotland Membership Requirements
BasketballScotland require that all clubs and players be registered with them in order to take part in club events, including training sessions.
Previously, this has cost players, older than 12 years, an annual fee. This fee remains in place for all those 12 and over who wish to take part in competitive basketball, however, for those who wish only to take part in recreational basketball (which includes training sessions), BasketballScotland have introduces a FREE "Recreational" membership for youths and adults alike.
Please see the full list of membership fees* for BasketballScotland here:
*Note that these fees are entirely independent from any club fees a member will be required to pay to take part in club acitivities with Fife Steel Basketball Club.
