Department Information

The FHP strives to achieve our core values of courtesy, service and protection. It is our job to help ensure the safety and welfare of millions of Florida’s residents and visitors each day. We currently have 31  Sworn Troopers, including our Administrative Direction Team. The majority of which are assigned to our Patrol Unit under Field Operations. In addition to Patrol Operations, the Florida Highway Patrol has many specialized areas. The Tactical Response Team conducts high risk missions to ensure the safety of Florida State Individuals, These missions include Hostage, Terrorist, Heist, and more. Additional specialized areas include recruitment, public affairs, professional standards & training operations, and more.
