Once you get done touching base with the customer and finding out where the equipment and everything is going for the job. Go to the tap make sure all fittings for your job is changed check and to make sure the tap plate is good, remove it if you have to check for water damage or corrosion. Check all levels off of the tap with your meter.
While you’re at the Tap check for damage on the line and if need be replace or repair the drop. Put green tag on the loop that comes directly off of the tap. If you’re installing an HSD only job be sure to put a video trap on a jumper going from the tap to the drop.
Once you’re done off of the tap, check your drop that is attached to the house be sure everything is attached to the house properly and securely.
HSD Only: Be sure to attach a video trap on a jumper from the tap to the drop.
look and check the house box to make sure it is in good shape if it is not replace the house box. Check all fittings and splitters in your house box to make sure everything is up-to-date. If there is any old fittings or splitters replace everyone of them to reassure that the customer has a good connection. Check your levels with your meter at the house box to re-insure that your drop is good.
Check to make sure you have a Ground block in the house box if not put one in reinsure the ground is nice and tight. Follow the ground to the ground coming out of the power to the house be sure that it is tighten down properly and put your ground tag on your wire to make sure that the customer knows that if that wire is damaged in anyway to call and have it repaired.
Close your house box and secure it shut. Once you’re back inside check your fittings behind the wall plate and your wall plates to make sure that they’re good.
