Noorwegen komt met ongekend hoge CO2-belasting voor oliebedrijvenOliebedrijven moeten in Noorwegen straks 2000 Noorse kronen (bijna 200 euro) betalen per ton uitgestoten CO2. Dat kondigde de regering van Noorwegen onlangs aan. Tegen 2030 moet dit de prijs zijn om fossiele brandstoffen te produceren. De prijs ligt ver boven de huidige prijs van CO2 in het emissiehandelssysteem (ETS) van de EU.

Here, the authors use satellite leaf area and in-situ CO2 measurements to show that most Earth system models largely underestimate photosynthetic carbon fixation in high latitudes.

With huge swaths of the world’s economy on lockdown, global emissions are expected to decline this year by a record 8%.
