1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Pray First, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. The Service

Pray First is an iOS application that provides:

• Guided prayer generation based on user-selected options

• Prayer time scheduling with optional app pausing via Apple's Screen Time API

• A personal prayer library

• Daily scripture from the Berean Standard Bible

• Notification reminders for prayer times

3. Pray First Pro Subscription

Certain features require an active Pray First Pro subscription:

• Saving prayers to your personal library

• Accessing your full prayer history

• Receiving prayer time notifications

Subscriptions are offered on a weekly or annual basis. A 7-day free trial is available for new subscribers. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your iPhone Settings under Apple ID > Subscriptions.

Payments are processed by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information.

4. Screen Time Feature

Pray First uses Apple's FamilyControls framework to optionally pause apps you select during prayer times. By enabling this feature, you:

• Grant Pray First permission to schedule Screen Time intervals via Apple's DeviceActivity API

• Acknowledge that the pausing behavior is enforced by iOS, not by Pray First reading your usage data

• Understand that you can revoke this permission at any time in your iPhone's Settings

This feature is entirely opt-in. Pray First will never pause apps without your explicit setup and permission.

5. User Content

Prayers generated by the app are based on templates and the options you select (focus, context, direction, posture). These prayers are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to or stored by us.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app

• Use the app in any way that violates applicable law

• Attempt to circumvent any subscription or access control

7. Intellectual Property

The app and its original content (excluding scripture) are the property of Tofu Mobile Apps and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Bible Translation

Scripture quotations are from the Holy Bible, Berean Standard Bible, BSB. This text of God's Word has been dedicated to the public domain.

If the app changes translations in the future, this section should be updated before release so the hosted terms page stays accurate.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be available at all times, error-free, or free of interruption.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tofu Mobile Apps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
