Overview

Pray First is designed to keep your data on your device. We do not sell your data, we do not run ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

What We Collect

Data stored on your device only

The following is stored locally on your iPhone and never transmitted to our servers:

• Prayer history — the prayers you complete, stored in a local database (SQLite via GRDB)

• Prayer times — the schedules you configure

• Protected apps — the app selection you make for Screen Time pausing (stored via Apple's FamilyControls framework in your device's App Group)

• Preferences — your display name, selected background, notification settings, prayer defaults, and unlock duration

• Session data — whether a prayer session is currently active, used to manage the Screen Time gate

Data associated with your account (for app functionality)

If you subscribe to Pray First Pro, RevenueCat processes your in-app purchase. RevenueCat may associate a pseudonymous user identifier with your subscription status. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID by Pray First. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or Apple ID

• We do not collect your prayer content for any purpose beyond displaying it to you

• We do not use analytics SDKs or third-party tracking

• We do not share data with advertisers

• NSPrivacyTracking is set to false — we do not engage in cross-app tracking

System APIs Used

Pray First accesses the following iOS system APIs, as declared in our Privacy Manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy):

• UserDefaults - Storing preferences and app state locally

• File timestamps - Managing local database and resource files

• System boot time - Scheduling and session timing (DeviceActivity)

• Disk space - Checking available storage before writing to the local database

• Active keyboards - Standard text input support

Screen Time (FamilyControls)

Pray First uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls / DeviceActivity) to pause apps you select during prayer times. This feature:

• Requires your explicit permission via the system authorization prompt

• Only affects apps you personally choose in Settings > Protected Apps

• Can be disabled at any time by removing your protected app selection or revoking Screen Time permission in your iPhone's Settings

• Does not give Pray First visibility into your usage data — the pausing is enforced by iOS, not by reading your screen time history

Subscriptions

In-app purchases are processed by Apple and RevenueCat. Pray First does not receive your payment information. Subscription management (cancellation, renewal) is handled through your Apple ID > Subscriptions settings.

Children

Pray First is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The app does not include any features directed at children.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the revised policy at the URL listed at the top of this document.
