Title: “A Large Scale, Economic Scheduler for Reverse Logistics in the Middle Mile at Amazon”.

Abstract: The reverse logistics problem in Amazon consists in moving containers from satellite sites back to central nodes. It requires defining where to send the containers and, importantly, when, due to capacity constraints. We developed a global, MIP-enabled tool to solve the resulting problem. This tool is now used daily, in multiple markets, to schedule thousands of loads.
