Dear Scouts,

Are you are ready for adventure in 2019?

On March 15th-17th 2019, Troop 888 is going to Joshua Tree National Park for camping and rock climbing. We are teaming up with Stone-Adventures.com to provide opportunity for you to learn rock climbing from professional rock climber. You can also earn merit badge if you fulfilled all requirements. See below for details.

Fees and Registration

  • Limited space. Only the 15 scouts are allow on this trip. Please email troop888_la_leader@googlegroups.com to register and arrange payment ASAP!
  • Normal Registration Fees $180.00 (payment by Feb 15th, 2019)
    • Late Registration $200.00 (after Feb 15th, 2019)
    • Early Bird Registration $155.00 (payment by Dec 31st, 2018).
  • All inclusive:
    • 8 hours rock climbing Instruction and gears rental.
    • Transportation (between FECC and Joshua Tree)
    • 5 Meals included (Scout need to cook, and carry their food)
    • Camp site included (Scouts need to bring tents/sleeping bag etc)
    • Fee for National Park included.
  • Campground: Jumbo Rocks Campground
  • Camping gear: Standard Sleeping/Cooking gears that fit in backpack.
  • Climbing gear: See video in below.

Cancellation

No cancellation nor refund.

Confirmation

A registration/payment confirmation email will send out starting on Dec 23rd, 2018.

Waiver

Click this link to download the waiver. Scouts, you will need your parents to sign the waiver and turn in the waiver on Feb 15th. No waiver, no rock climbing and also no refund. Please print and sign it ahead of time!

Weather Information

The weather can be up and down here in the high desert. Please come prepared with a small day pack, layered clothing (long pants), comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses, sunblock and 4 liters of water for an 8 hour session.

Stone-Adventures.com will bring all the climbing gear including shoes, helmets and harnesses.
