Each participant needs to submit the following form when check-in at camp:

Sunday 9:30 AM Arrive at Lake Cachuma

Sunday 10:00 AM Set up campsite with the help of Troop888

Sunday 11:00 AM Troop888 and Spark-builder lakeside worship gathering

Sunday 12:00 PM Lunch and group pictures (Sams Club sandwiches)

Sunday 1:00 PM Troop888 departs except for a few helpers to stay overnight

Sunday 1:15 PM Outdoor activities, Guided Boat Tour ($18 Adult, $12 Child)

Sunday 4:00 PM Free Time (Fishing, Kayaking, Pool, Bike)

Sunday 6:00 PM Dinner (Dutch Oven Cooking by Scout helper)

Sunday 8:00 PM Campfire and s'mores

Monday 7:00 AM Breakfast (Oatmeal/Muffins ) 

Monday 8:00 AM Guided Nature Walk/Nature Center visit ($30 whole group)

Monday 10:00 AM Pack up and clean campsite, Depart from Camp.

Monday 11:00 AM OPT: Solvang for excursion and Lunch

Monday 4:00 PM OPT: downtown Santa Barbara

When arrive at the park gate, mention you are part of the "Pawnee Plateau" group campsite and they will issue you a free parking permit.

The Gate is always open, but if no staff is there, you will have to come back next morning at 7AM to get the parking permit.

Lake cruise - must reserve ahead

Adults $18 (ages 13 and up), Kids $12 (ages 5 to 12 year old; please no children under 5)

Junior Ranger program ($3/person for booklet and patch) Must reserve and pay ahead. This is a self-guided program.

Can assign a scout to organize, reserve and help the younger kids for this activity

Nature Walk hikes - must reserve ahead (We can let scout oganize our own hike too


Recommended to bring:

folding chairs, canopies; bicyles; water melons; drinking water; swimming cloths if swimming; coins for hot shower (scout can come up with full packing list)

8:15pm Small group instruction: O'Leary's Cow songs play in the back ground.

8:40pm Campfire: Crew 1/2/3/4/5/6 sing around the campfire three crews at a time take their food back to gym

8:50PM (10 mins): Wrap up and review

8:00PM (25 mins): Demonstrate on setting up a tent (Matthew: materials: tent, stakes)

8:25PM (25 mins): Intergroup game: "Tent Building Race" (Yanhao with timer) materials: stopwatch, tent, stakes)

8:50PM (10 mins): Wrap up and review


May 19, 2023: First Aide and Maps

7:30PM: flag ceremony: outdoor code 

8:00PM (25 mins): Small group instruction on wilderness first aid (Bryan: materials: first aid kit, bandages, antiseptic, )

8:25PM (25 mins): Intergroup game: "Orienteering game" (Ethan: materials: compass, cones, rope, chairs, blindfolds)

8:50PM (10 mins): Wrap up and review
