There are a variety of apps that can be downloaded for free on to your phone to sample artwork in your setting, two that I use often are Photoroom and Canva.
First step will be to save the image of artwork with the transparent background found in the drop down section. While there find the dimensions of artwork in the drop down section of item description.
Next go to which ever app you use to download new apps onto your device and find Photoroom. While its downloading use a few small pieces of tape to put reference points where you would like to display the artwork, base the height and the spacing of the pieces of tape on the size of the piece of artwork for when you get to adjustment of scale while placing one photo over the other.
Now take photo of where you would like to see artwork displayed and open photoroom app, and at the bottom press this button to begin working with your samples.
Tip- The photo needs to be facing straight towards area being sampled to make best use of reference points and photo doesn't need to be as close as the one here.
Now select the photo you took and restore the areas the app automatically cuts out by selecting edit cutout. Switch to restore with green button and highlight areas the app cut and select done in top right corner.
On the page it leads to select original and it will open options to edit. Next use the + Insert button to bring in photo of artwork that you had saved. Now all you need to do is adjust the scale of artwork by sliding two fingers inwards till it fits the reference points you had made with the tape and hit done to save it.
Tip: you can switch between two photos when adjusting scale and placement.
Share your example with us to have it shown on our Facebook page!
