Rules and Regulations
Be sure to be following these guidelines to being a good soldier, and if you are not following the server rules or these guidelines, it will most likely result in getting striked, removed, and/or blacklisted.
Server rules/MOTD/GAR SOP.
Respect the server rules. You can find them in the MOTD on the forums and also look at the Galactic Army of the Republic SOP as well. Both links are on the Discord.
General Activity Quota:
Every week you must log about 3 General activity loggings (hosting sims/trainings also count, but tryout loggings don't count), there are multiple activities you can attend to do the logging whether its an event, training, passive, RE, patrol etc. if any quesitons about this feel free to ask an officer+ for more details.
Quota Rules:
1: The most important rule is the only individual loggings you can do when your the only person there are offmaps and onmaps loggings, along with medical checkups as long as you mention who did your checkup. Any other activity you must make sure there is at least one or more troopers with you (even if their not 501st) in that activity and mention their name so we know you didn't fake a logging. attending other trainers sims/activities can also count for individual logging but you must mention whoever hosted it's name so we know you didn't fake it.
2: please distance tryout loggings by 30 minutes if NCO+. however if you did a tryout logging but right after it someone asks for a tryout, you can still give them the tryout but must wait 30 minutes to log it after the most recent tryout logging.
3: Right after an activity ends make sure to log it right away. Do not wait to log everything at the end of the day otherwise it will look suspicious. especially for events, after a map switch whether during the load in after an event or during briefing calls you can log the event while that happens to pass the time while waiting. but overall for any activity after its over if you attended, log it right away after .
anyways, here below is what counts as a general activity logging:
Events (onmaps, offmaps, re's, passives, megas and occupations)
Sims (Combat, Basics, PVP, etc/any kind of sim in the sim rooms)
Trainings (whether hosted by 501st or not)
Medical Checkups
Patrols
Passive RP
ID Checks/Checkpoints
Weapon checkups
Shooting range
[Will be updated with more examples if needed]
501st Secure Comms Discord VC Requirement/Squad (During Events):
a very important thing we have events is the 501st Secure Comms Discord VC requirement rule when ingame for events (onmaps, offmaps, mega's and occupations only). it is heavily required when ingame and an event is happening you are to join the 501st Secure comms VC on the FBG Discord (no matter if your the only one on or not, you still have to be in it) while also being in events comms ingame. below are some rules when using the VC during events:
501st Secure comms Discord VC Rules:
1: keep the comms to callouts, communication within 501st and when needing a medic and such.
2: when hearing something in event comms, try to keep quiet a bit in the VC so we can hear the orders and whats going on so we dont overlap it and misheard orders or being able to not hear them at all.
3: no long conversations, nothing that last's past 20 second's is allowed as it needs to be kept to orders, callouts and such, not long conversations, nor should be anything that is not pertaining to the event.
4: when told to clear comms by 501st officer+ in the VC during the event, that means to everyone in the VC to stop talking, whether its for an order or if its too noisy or getting heated.
so make sure to be in the 501st Secure Comms Discord VC during events at all times!
501st Squad:
its also important to be in the 501st squad at all times even outside events. so if you are on the server be sure to ask to join the 501st squad. if a squad is up you will be invited if not then a squad will be made for 501st right away. this is to track where people are especially during events.
Activity/501st Loggings.
Try to be at least somewhat active. Life is more important but if possible try to maintain some level of activity. If you are incapable of such though, consider filling out an LOA or ROA or talk to a officer+ about it for advice. and if you ever attend an activity such as a sim, trainings, patrol, passive and an event, be sure to log it in the 501st logging form in the 501st-info channel and use the exact name and steamid32 shown on the roster otherwise it will not work.
LOA's/ROA's
LOA's and ROA's are thing you put in when you cannot get on as much or cant get on for a period of time. below is explaining what they mean and how they work:
LOA's (Leave of Absence):
LOA's are for when your not gonna be on the server for a period of time, such as vacations, burnouts, IRL situations or anything where you wont be on for 3 or more days. so it is best to put an LOA until its over and fixed.
ROA's (Reduction of Activity):
ROA's are for when you cannot be on as much on the server but still get on from time to time just not as much, like internet issues, slight burnouts and more. that is you need to put in an ROA until its over and you can get on more.
the max of how long ROA's/LOA's can last is 2 weeks, anymore then that will be judged by command and high comm to see if the extension is actually needed. ontop of that, now unscheduled dates when putting in how long the LOA or ROA will last like "few days" or "idk how long", give an estimated time, you can extend it if its longer then it is, no saying "i dont know how long" or we wont accept it if a date is not giving.
overall all ROA's and LOA's will be kept in the LOA/ROA channel so make sure to put these in if anything happens and be sure to reply to your LOA/ROA stating if its over and/or if extending it a bit.
Daily Ping's
Everyday at 2pm EST, VCMDR+ is in charge of posting the daily ping for 501st in the 501st announcements channel and below is what it states:
upcoming events, trainings, sims, patrols, sub units, daily reminders such as quota, meeting reminders and more.
so be sure to check the daily ping daily when it comes out so you know what is happenign for this week along with more info for it also list's any trainings and such that our officers are gonna host for the week.
Respect Others/Battalions.
Do not disrespect other battalions, command, high command or regular players. Doing so will result in a warning or strike. Please do not discourage people from joining other battalions, even if they don't wanna join our battalion. be respectful to everyone, treat people how you would want to be treated.
Listen to GC (Ground Command).
Be sure to listen to ground command during events for they are considered higher than even high command during events and be in event comms to listen to GC. you can go into the event comms by pressing "M", then click on event comms and set it as either passive 1 or 2.
Mission Priorities (During Events).
Make sure during missions (Events, onmap and offmaps, Random Encounters, Patrols, etc.) you are engaging the enemies in the frontlines and using your shields for cover fire and protecting your fellow troopers and if you have the republic shield use it to breach n clear any buildings/Base, 501st specializes in CQC/Breach n clear so clearing buildings is a priority, ontop of that 501st also does siege as a specialty for occasional bases/compound sieges. as for the squad shield that is used in open area's and used against intense enemy fire and assist the medical battalion by providing cover fire for them to heal and/or pick up any down troopers with the squad shield.
501st Leaves and Resignations.
if you feel like leaving the 501st, please contact a officer+ first for any advice and fill out the proper resignation format in the roster update channel on the discord.
501st Battlestation.
our Battlestation during defcon 2 or when ordered is the exterior of the base and the MHB (Main Hangarbay) so when battlestations are called, make sure to be at that location unless ordered otherwise.
501st Meeting's Time and Date.
501st meetings will always be at 6pm EST every Sunday. If you cannot attend it, you must write a meeting excuse in the meeting excuse channel on the discord, or you will be given a strike if you don't put the excuse in time. You will have about 24 hours after the meeting was held/ended to put in a meeting excuse before time runs out
No Minging/Have fun.
Don’t be a minge. Having fun is important, but don’t go too overboard to the point where it ruins the fun of others or when it affects them mentally or when it interrupts peoples RP and events and such.
No Kit Abuse.
Do not abuse the perks given to you, nor should you be using things such as vehicles without given permission. that goes with not abusing anything in your loadout whether it be grenades, rockets, vehicles ETC. if you do abuse such kits/vehicles, you will be given the proper warnings, strikes, punishments and removals of either the role or from the battalion itself depending on how bad it is.
Common Sense/No Trespassing.
Use common sense, don't do anything stupid like interfering with other battalions' jobs or going into areas you shouldn't be unless you have the clearance and/or given permission to go in there by either a higher ranking officer, the commander in charge of the area or high command.
Follow COC (Chaing of Command).
If you have questions, or concerns, please ask an NCO+ if they are capable of helping instead of going straight to command. Rather, start by asking Senior NCOs, then officers, then command, then high command if command doesn't work and then management which is less likely. be sure to follow chain of command and if your confused, then look at the chain of command section in important info to see how the COC works.
Regimental Sub Units.
If a member of a subunit which spans multiple battalions is called to trainings, patrols, SIMs, or any battalion-related activity in regards to their main life and subunit simultaneously, that they have the choice to attend either or, and must let the other party know of their absence. The player should not be pressured, forced to, or feel a need to attend one activity over the other in fear of a punishment. Examples of such subunits are Regimental Pilots, Regimental Medics, ARC, Shadow, etc.
