The 212th is a frontline attack battalion designed to deliver heavy damage using a variety of tactics, which vary depending on the subunit. Every trooper in the 212th is trained in the operation and deployment of explosives, enhancing their effectiveness in combat.

The 104th Battalion, also known as the "Wolfpack," excelled in advanced tactical operations, specializing in close-quarters combat and urban warfare. Under the leadership of Commander Wolffe, they were highly skilled at executing rapid assaults, ambushes, and defensive strategies, often operating in challenging environments to support Republic forces on the frontlines of the Clone Wars.

The Shock ARC unit primarily focuses on security and law enforcement duties, such as restraining individuals, protecting prisoners, and verifying IDs. Their responsibilities may include arresting other ARC troopers when necessary or ensuring the safety of VIPs. While escorting prisoners or high-profile individuals, they can rely on other ARC members for support. A key distinction of the Shock ARC is their access to electro-staffs, which they are permitted to use even during DEFCON 5, as there are no known restrictions against their use. Beyond these specialized tasks, they carry out standard Shock unit operations.
