Heart Free Pattern

Materials

• 1 color of yarn, both yarns labeled above.

• Crochet hook (For cotton yarn I used 4mm, for blanket yarn I used 5.25mm)

• Stuffing

• Yarn needle

• Stitch marker - optional

• Scissors - optional

Stitches Used

• mr (magic ring)

• sc (single crochet)

• inc (increase)

• dec (decrease)

• f/o (fasten off)

• [sc, dec]x8 (do an sc, then a dec, repeat 8 times total)

• (#) (stitch count after finishing a round)

Pattern

This pattern is crocheted in continuous rounds and NOT joined by a slip stitch at the end of the round.

1. 6 sc in mr (6)

2. 6 inc (12)

3. sc (12)

4. sc (12) f/o with a longish tail for sewing. Make another one, but do not fasten off. 

5. Sc into the first hemisphere and place stitch marker in the stitch you just made, sc all around both hemisphere (24)

6. 5 sc, dec, 10 sc, dec, 5 sc (22) *use the tail from the first hemisphere to close the gap between both hemispheres.

8. (2 sc, dec)x 5, 2 sc (17)

9. (sc, dec)x 5, 2 sc (12) *stuff the tops*

10. sc (12) *stuff the rest of the heart*

11. dec (6) *last call for stuffing!* f/o and sew up
