==================================================
2.0 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
==================================================
2.1 GENERAL
Q: What is FastTrackr?
A: FastTrackr is a health and wellness app focused on intermittent fasting, with built-in tracking for water, weight, meals and nutrition, activity, and mood, plus optional AI-powered insights and recommendations.
Q: Is FastTrackr free?
A: Yes. Manual tracking of fasting, water, weight, activity, and mood is free — along with fasting plans, fasting zones and journal, articles, achievements, challenges, personalized health metrics, recent history, and cloud backup and sync with a free account. A Premium subscription unlocks AI features, AI meal logging and nutrition, extended charts, full history, and Apple Health / Health Connect import.
Q: Do I need to create an account?
A: No. FastTrackr works fully without an account — nothing is created for you and nothing leaves your device. Signing in with email, Google, or Apple is optional, and it backs up your data and syncs it across your devices, free on any plan. Anything you tracked before signing in comes with you.
Q: Is my data private?
A: Yes. FastTrackr is local-first — your data is stored on your device by default. Cloud sync is optional and protected so that only your account can access your data. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising and we do not sell your data. See the Privacy Policy in the App for details.
Q: Does FastTrackr give medical advice?
A: No. FastTrackr is a wellness and self-tracking tool, not a medical device. Health metrics, nutrition estimates, fasting plans, and AI insights are informational only. Consult a healthcare professional before fasting or changing your diet. See Section 10.0.
Q: What age do I need to be?
A: You must be at least 16 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher). FastTrackr asks for your date of birth during setup — it is used for your metabolic calculations, and the picker will not go below 16. The App is rated 16+ on the App Store.
2.2 AI FEATURES
Q: What can the AI do?
A: With Premium and AI enabled, FastTrackr can identify foods from a meal photo or description and estimate nutrition, generate Day/Week/Month insights and reports, answer questions in "Ask AI," recommend a fasting plan, generate recipes and meal plans, and turn a text description of a workout into a logged activity.
Q: Do I have to turn AI on?
A: Yes — AI is off until you enable it through an in-app consent prompt. When enabled, a summary of your tracking data (and a meal image when you log by photo) is sent to our AI provider to generate results. You can turn AI off any time in Settings.
Q: Is there a limit on AI use?
A: Yes, there are reasonable daily fair-use limits (a daily cap on AI text requests and a separate cap on photo/vision requests) to manage cost. Results are cached on your device for a while to avoid repeating requests.
2.3 SUBSCRIPTION
Q: What does Premium cost?
A: USD 9.99 per month or USD 59.99 per year (local-currency equivalents apply). The yearly plan includes a 14-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
Q: How do I cancel?
A: Subscriptions are managed by the store you bought from. FastTrackr cannot cancel on your behalf.
- iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → FastTrackr → Cancel Subscription
- Android: Google Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → FastTrackr → Cancel subscription
Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal; access continues until the end of the current period.
Q: I subscribed on iPhone — does it work on my Android phone (or vice versa)?
A: No. Apple and Google billing are separate systems. A subscription on one store is valid only on that store's platform. Your tracking data still syncs across your own devices when you are signed in — that is separate from billing.
Q: Can I get a refund?
A: Refunds are handled by the store: Apple via https://reportaproblem.apple.com, Google via https://play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory → "Report a problem." For issues the store cannot resolve, email fasttrackr.support@newversion.studio.
2.4 DATA AND DEVICES
Q: Will my data sync across devices?
A: Yes, if you sign in with the same account on each device. FastTrackr backs up your trackers and profile to your private cloud account and syncs changes both ways. This is free on any plan — you do not need Premium for backup or sync.
Q: Do I keep my cloud backup if I stop paying for Premium?
A: Yes. Cloud backup is part of the free tier, so cancelling Premium does not remove your backup or stop it syncing. You only lose the Premium features themselves.
Q: What happens if I uninstall?
A: Uninstalling deletes all local data on that device. If you were signed in, your data remains in your cloud account and returns when you reinstall and sign in — on any plan, free or Premium. If you used FastTrackr without an account, uninstalling removes your data permanently.
Q: Are my meal photos uploaded?
A: The full-resolution photo stays on your device. Only a small thumbnail is synced to your private cloud account so your meal history looks complete on other devices. When you log a meal by photo with AI, the image is sent once to the AI vision provider for food identification.
==================================================
3.0 ACCOUNT AND PROFILE
==================================================
3.1 MANAGING YOUR PROFILE
To edit your profile:
1. Open Settings
2. Tap the identity card or "Edit" at the top
3. Update display name, body details (age, gender, height, weight), avatar, and goals
4. Changes save when you confirm
Why complete your profile?
- Body details power your BMI, BMR, TDEE, and recommended water goal
- Goals personalize insights, challenges, and plan recommendations
- All of this stays on your device (and in your private cloud account if you sync)
3.2 SIGNING IN
FastTrackr starts with no account at all. To enable backup and multi-device sync, sign in from Settings or onboarding using:
- Email and password
- Sign in with Google
- Sign in with Apple
3.2.1 CONFIRMING YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS
If you sign up with an email and password, we send a confirmation message to that address. Open it and tap "Confirm my email", then sign in.
- Nothing has arrived: delivery can take a few minutes. Check your spam or junk folder, and check the address on screen for a typo — it is shown in the message under the sign-up form.
- Still nothing: tap "Resend email" on that message, or on the sign-in screen after a sign-in is refused. If it still does not arrive, email fasttrackr.support@newversion.studio.
- You have not confirmed yet: the App keeps working normally and nothing is lost, but you cannot sign in and nothing is backed up to your account until you do. Your data stays on the device in the meantime.
- Signing in with Google or Apple needs no confirmation step.
3.2.2 PASSWORD REQUIREMENTS
New passwords need at least 8 characters, including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a special character. The App shows a checklist as you type. This applies when you set a password; if you created your account earlier with a shorter one, you can still sign in with it.
3.2.3 "THAT EMAIL ALREADY HAS AN ACCOUNT"
The address you entered is already registered, so no new account was created and no confirmation email was sent. Use "Go to sign in" to sign in instead, or "Forgot password?" if you do not remember the password.
3.2.4 RESETTING A FORGOTTEN PASSWORD
On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password?" and enter your address. We email a numeric code — type it into the App, then choose a new password. The code expires shortly after it is sent, and requesting a new one replaces the old.
3.3 WELLNESS GOALS
- Choose from eight goal types and star one as your primary goal
- Your primary goal must be one of your selected goals
- Edit any time via Settings → Goals & Preferences
==================================================

5.0 FEATURES AND HOW-TO
==================================================
5.1 INTERMITTENT FASTING
Plans available (choose in the Fasting Plan hub):
- 12:12 and 14:10 (intro)
- 16:8 and 18:6 (standard)
- 20:4, OMAD, and 5:2 (advanced)
How to fast:
1. From the dashboard, start the fasting timer (or pick/confirm a plan first in the Fasting Plan hub)
2. Watch your live countdown and Fasting Zones — five metabolic phases that update as your fast progresses
3. End the fast when your window closes; completed fasts of an hour or more trigger a celebration
4. Capture how you felt in the fasting journal (mood, energy, hunger, notes)
AI fasting plan (Premium): FastTrackr can recommend a plan with a primary pick plus alternatives and a short rationale based on your profile and history.
5.2 WATER
- Log with quick-add buttons or a custom amount
- Your daily goal is calculated from your weight, age, and activity level, or you can set your own
- View Today / Week / Month / Year progress
5.3 WEIGHT
- Log your weight with date and time; multiple entries per day and backdating are supported
- Set a goal weight; FastTrackr tracks your trend and projected timeline
- Entries outside a sensible range (or implausible 24-hour swings) are flagged to prevent typos
- View your trend chart over Today / Week / Month / Year
5.4 MEAL LOGGING AND NUTRITION (Premium)
You can log a meal three ways:
- Photo: take or choose a picture; AI identifies the foods
- Description: type what you ate (for example, "grilled chicken breast, 150g")
- Both: a photo plus a hint (for example, "cooked in butter")
After identification, FastTrackr looks up nutrition from the USDA food database and shows calories, protein, carbs, fat, and fiber per meal and per day. You can edit identified items; FastTrackr recalculates nutrition. Unusual values are flagged with a soft warning or a hard rejection so your totals stay realistic.
5.5 ACTIVITY
- Tap a quick chip for common activities, or add a custom one (16 activity types)
- Set duration and intensity; FastTrackr estimates calories burned using your BMR and the activity's intensity
- Premium: describe a workout in text (for example, "30 min run") and AI logs it for you
- View Today / Week / Month / Year history
5.6 MOOD
- Capture your mood, energy, and hunger after a fast, or any time from the Mood tab
- Add a note; review your mood history over time
5.7 MEAL PLAN AND RECIPES
- Open Meal Plan from the dashboard's Today's Meals card
- Plan tab: build a free-form day plan; add meals from your recipes, or use AI to add a single recipe or plan a whole week (Premium)
- Recipes tab: browse your recipe library, mark favourites, and generate new recipes with AI
5.8 AI HUB (Premium)
Insights (Day / Week / Month) mirror your tracker charts:
- Day shows a synthesis summary plus per-category cards (Fasting, Water, Activity, Nutrition, Weight, Mood, Health Metrics)
- Week and Month show a score with a change vs. the previous period, highlights, improvements, and a goal for next period
- Pull to refresh to regenerate (counts toward your daily AI limit); insights show how fresh they are
Ask AI:
- Open the "Ask AI" chat for questions about your data and habits
- Use voice input (tap the mic) or type; tap a suggested follow-up to dig deeper
- Your conversation history is saved on your device; you can clear it any time
- AI output is informational and not medical advice
Data readiness: insights unlock as you log more. A few entries unlock Day insights; logging across more categories unlocks Week and then Month reports.
5.9 PERSONALIZED HEALTH
- FastTrackr calculates BMI, BMR, TDEE, and a recommended water goal from your profile
- Tap the dashboard health summary or Settings → Health Summary to see the full breakdown and explanations
5.10 CHALLENGES AND ACHIEVEMENTS
- Join time-boxed challenges that build on your existing tracking (fasting, movement, hydration, journaling)
- Earn from 171 achievements across milestones, streaks, and mastery as you log and hit goals
5.11 ARTICLES
- Browse 43 bundled fasting articles in the Explore tab; bookmark the ones you want to revisit
5.12 NOTIFICATIONS

- Control each category with its master toggle in the App, or turn off notifications entirely in your device settings
==================================================
6.0 APPLE HEALTH / HEALTH CONNECT (Premium)
==================================================
6.1 WHAT IT DOES
FastTrackr can import — read-only — your existing health data so you do not have to re-enter it:
- Workouts become activity logs
- Body weight becomes weight entries
- Daily steps and active energy appear on your dashboard
FastTrackr never writes data back to Apple Health or Health Connect. Imported records are de-duplicated and labelled with their source.
6.2 HOW TO CONNECT
1. Settings → Apple Health / Health Connect (or the "Connect" button on the dashboard or Activity tab)
2. Accept the one-time in-app health-import consent (separate from AI consent)
3. Grant read permission in the Apple Health / Health Connect system prompt
4. FastTrackr imports recent data and keeps it updated; you can also tap "Sync now"
6.3 CONNECTING OTHER DEVICES
Devices and apps such as Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit, Oura, Samsung Health, WHOOP, and Strava can feed FastTrackr by syncing into Apple Health or Health Connect first:
- In the device's own app (for example, Garmin Connect), enable its Apple Health or Health Connect integration
- Once that data appears in Apple Health / Health Connect, FastTrackr can import it
6.4 CALORIES BURNED — MEASURED VS ESTIMATED
FastTrackr shows your active calories burned from imported movement:
- Measured: when your hub has Active Energy data — usually written by an Apple Watch or another connected wearable — FastTrackr uses that figure directly.
- Estimated: an iPhone on its own records steps but not Active Energy. When no Active Energy is available, FastTrackr estimates the calories from your step count and body weight, and labels the figure "estimated." Tap the small info icon next to it for an explanation.
Because the estimate uses your body weight, completing your profile (age, weight, height, sex) makes it more accurate. To get measured calories instead of an estimate, connect a device that records Active Energy, such as an Apple Watch. Estimated figures are informational only — see Section 10.0.
6.5 REVOKING ACCESS
You can revoke FastTrackr's read access any time in your device's Apple Health / Health Connect settings. Already-imported data remains in FastTrackr until you delete it.
==================================================
7.0 TROUBLESHOOTING
==================================================
7.1 APP CRASHES OR FREEZES
iOS:
1. Force quit (swipe up and remove FastTrackr), then reopen
2. Restart your iPhone
3. Check for app updates in the App Store and iOS updates in Settings → General → Software Update
Android:
1. Force stop: Settings → Apps → FastTrackr → Force stop, then reopen
2. Restart your device
3. Clear the app cache (NOT "Clear data," which wipes local content): Settings → Apps → FastTrackr → Storage → Clear cache
4. Check for updates in Google Play and Android system updates
7.2 AI NOT WORKING
1. Make sure AI is enabled (Settings) and you have Premium
2. Check your internet connection
3. If you see a daily-limit message, you have reached the fair-use cap; try again the next day
4. Retry — the app automatically falls back to a secondary AI provider if the primary is busy
7.3 MEAL PHOTO NOT RECOGNIZED
1. Use clear lighting and frame the food
2. Add a short description to help (for example, name the dish or hidden ingredients)
3. If a result looks off, edit the identified items — nutrition recalculates
7.4 SUBSCRIPTION NOT RECOGNIZED
1. Confirm the purchase in your store account (Apple: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions; Google: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions)
2. In FastTrackr: Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases
3. Ensure the device is signed in to the store account that made the purchase
4. Restart the app
5. Remember an iOS subscription does not work on Android and vice versa
7.5 HEALTH IMPORT NOT SYNCING
1. Confirm you accepted the in-app health consent and granted the OS permission
2. Check the source data actually appears in Apple Health / Health Connect
3. Tap "Sync now"
4. Android: ensure Health Connect is installed/updated and FastTrackr has permission
7.6 NOTIFICATIONS NOT ARRIVING
1. Check the App's notification toggles for that category
2. Check device notification permission (iOS Settings → FastTrackr → Notifications; Android Settings → Apps → FastTrackr → Notifications)
3. Android: disable aggressive battery optimization for FastTrackr (Settings → Apps → FastTrackr → Battery → Unrestricted) so scheduled reminders are not delayed
4. Restart the device
7.7 DATA NOT SYNCING ACROSS DEVICES
1. Confirm you are signed in with the same account on both devices
2. Check your internet connection on both devices
3. Open the app and wait a few seconds for sync to run; it also runs on launch and when connectivity returns
==================================================
8.0 PRIVACY AND YOUR DATA
==================================================
8.1 WHERE YOUR DATA LIVES
- On your device: all of your tracking data, profile, recipes, meal photos, AI chat history, and settings
- In your private cloud account (if signed in, on any plan): a backup mirror of your trackers and profile, plus meal-photo thumbnails — accessible only by your account
- Sent to services only as needed: a tracking summary and meal images to the AI provider (when AI is enabled), food names to the USDA lookup, and subscription status to the store
8.2 DELETING YOUR DATA
- Per entry: tap or swipe a log to edit or delete it
- Per tracker: Settings → Danger Zone → delete all of a tracker
- Everything: Settings → Danger Zone → delete all tracker data (type "DELETE" to confirm). This preserves your profile, goals, fasting plan, and achievements
- Account deletion: Settings → Danger Zone → Account Deletion permanently deletes your account and the data tied to it, and signs you out. This cannot be undone
8.3 EXPORTING YOUR DATA
Settings → Your Data → Export My Data downloads a complete copy of everything the App holds for you, as a single .zip file. It is free on every plan and works without an account.
What you get:
- fasttrackr-data.json — everything in one structured file, for another app or a developer
- csv/ — one spreadsheet file per section (fasting, water, weight, meals and the foods in them, activity, mood, achievements, challenges, recipes, meal plans, AI conversations and reports, and more)
- README.txt — plain-English notes on every file, every unit, and what is left out
Good to know:
- The file is built on your phone. Nothing is uploaded to create it, and we never see a copy
- Units are metric throughout (kg, mL, cm, km) — the imperial setting changes only what is shown on screen
- Meal photos are not included; they stay on your device, and a folder of images would dwarf everything else. The meal log records which meals had one
- Exporting changes nothing. Your history stays exactly where it is
If you cannot use the in-App export for any reason, email fasttrackr.support@newversion.studio and we will send you a copy.
For the full details, see the Privacy Policy in the App.

10.0 HEALTH AND SAFETY
==================================================
10.1 NOT MEDICAL ADVICE
FastTrackr is a wellness and self-tracking tool, not a medical device, and does not provide medical, nutritional, or diagnostic advice. BMI, BMR, TDEE, calorie and nutrition estimates, fasting plans, and AI insights are informational and educational only and may be inaccurate.
10.2 TALK TO A PROFESSIONAL FIRST
Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting intermittent fasting, changing your diet, or beginning an exercise program — especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, diabetic or managing blood sugar, have a history of disordered eating, have a chronic condition, or take medication.
10.3 LISTEN TO YOUR BODY
If you feel dizzy, weak, faint, or unwell while fasting, stop and eat, and seek medical advice if symptoms persist. Fasting is not appropriate for everyone.
10.4 EMERGENCIES
FastTrackr is not a crisis service. In a medical emergency, contact your local emergency number (for example, 111 in New Zealand, 911 in the United States, 112 in much of Europe) or seek immediate in-person care.
