As a young researcher, my passion for science and problem-solving was sparked early on through my involvement in extracurricular activities like math contests (International Youth Math Challenge, 2022) and physics problem-solving competitions (University Physics Competition, 2023). These events were more than just challenges—they were opportunities to think critically, tackle complex problems, and explore creative solutions under pressure. They also helped in instilling a notion of analytical thinking, which has been essential in my journey as a researcher. In addition to participating in contests, I have always been committed to continuously improving my knowledge and expanding my skill set. To do this I have pursued various coursework opportunities that align with my research interests and career goals. These courses have not only enhanced my technical proficiency but have also allowed me to explore interdisciplinary applications of computational tools- beyond my own research pursuits.
I have also had the opportunity of representing Italy in the Economic and Financial Committee (ECOFIN) at a Model United Nations (MUN) conference. That was an enriching and transformative experience. As a delegate, I had the privilege of stepping into the shoes of an Italian diplomat, advocating for the nation's economic policies, priorities, and global perspectives. It also deepened my appreciation for the complexities of international relations and economic diplomacy.
I have also volunteered as a test grader in the Bangladesh Physics Olympiad, Dhaka Division, held on 9th February 2024. Volunteering as a grader for a regional Physics Olympiad was a rewarding and insightful experience. My role involved assessing the solutions provided by students to challenging physics problems, ensuring accuracy and fairness in grading. This required a deep understanding of physics concepts, attention to detail, and consistency in evaluating diverse approaches to problem-solving.
