As an early-career researcher, I recognize the immense value of consortiums where a large number of scientists come together. Attending academic conferences has proven to be highly beneficial for me, as they provide a vital platform for exchanging knowledge, building professional networks, and staying updated on the latest advancements in various sub-disciplines. These events have also given me the opportunity to present my own work, receive constructive feedback from experts, and engage in discussions that inspired new ideas. Furthermore, conferences promote interdisciplinary interactions, allowing me to explore topics beyond my primary area of expertise. The opportunity to meet esteemed faculty members from outside my local network and to gain exposure to current work in the field is a significant motivator for my active participation in these events. As a young researcher, attending local seminars and conferences has been an invaluable experience for broadening my perspective.
