All talks will be held at DIMA (Via Dodecaneso 35, see map below) - Room 508.
How to reach DIMA:
DIMA can be easily reached by bus from Brignole train station and from the very city center. The closest bus stop to DIMA is Europa 17/Ospedale S. Martino (ca. 10 minutes walking distance).
Buses to/from Brignole train station: 17, 18, 45, 85, 86, 87.
Buses to/from Piazza Raffaele de Ferrari (city center): 17, 18, 44.
Bus tickets can be bought via the AMT Genova app.
Rooms:
Lecture room: Room 508, located on the fifth floor. From the main entrance, go down to the fifth floor and turn left. Notice that the street level, i.e. where the main entrance is located, is level 6 of the building.
Extra room: we reserved Room 716 (7th floor) for discussion and work during lunch breaks. More precisely, Room 716 is reserved from Monday to Thursday 12.30-16.00 and on Friday 12.30-18.00. If you need more space or extra time, don't hesitate to contact us!
How to reach Genova:
By train: train stations Genova Brignole and Genova Principe connect Genova to all main Italian cities. We suggest to stop at Genova Brignole (which is NOT the main station) if you are located at Best Western Hotel Moderno Verdi (see accommodation section) or if you need to reach DIMA.
By plane: Genova airport is connected to the city of Genova via the shuttle bus VolaBus (ca 30 mins); tickets can be bought via the AMT Genova app (Biglietto con carta di credito >> Volabus (5€ )). Another (cheaper) option is to reach Genova Sestri Ponente train station by local bus (ca. 5 mins from Genova airport) and then the city of Genova by train; for this option you need to buy only one ticket via the AMT Genova app (Biglietto con carta di credito >> Urbano integrato (1,60 €)).
Other airports you might want to check: all Milano airports, Torino airport, Pisa airport - main stations of these cities are all connected to Genova train stations by frequent ~2h direct trains. Check also Flixbus for (rare..) direct connections from Milano, Torino and Pisa airports to the city of Genova. Nice airport is not far, but direct trains are not currently available.
Accommodation in Genova:
Senior and junior speakers will be hosted at the Best Western Hotel Moderno Verdi Genova. The hotel is located 1 minute by walk from Brignole train station.
For all other participants: unfortunately, we are not be able to cover their accommodation expenses. However, we suggest to contact the Best Western Hotel Moderno Verdi and the Hotel La Capannina (this second being a cheaper option), specifying to be participant to the conference: they will offer to all participants a special rate for single and double rooms, offer valid until exhausted rooms.
Where to have lunch near DIMA:
Here a list of places where you can have lunch at walking distance from the conference venue. It includes a mixed selection of restaurants, cafeterias and bakeries.
The University Cafeteria is located behind the football field at the 0 level of DIMA. It offers a daily selection of hot meals and sandwiches.
In Via Lagustena there are several bakeries where you can buy some focaccia and farinata (typical street food from Genova). We particularly recommend Spiga d'oro, but you can find them multiple options (10-15 mins).
Pizzeria Ristorante Al Ponte Albaro is suggested both for pizza and the restaurant offer - on Tuesday there's a special pizza deal (12 mins).

Some take away options for burgers: Magnus, Avocado Burger Bar - delivery is possible (<10 mins).
La Muraglia, Chinese and Japanese restaurant and street food (<10 mins).

Social dinner:
The social dinner will take place on Wednesday 24th at 20.00 at Ristorante I Tre Merli. It will be offered to all participants.
