For some pages you may prefer to use only a title without a banner picture. There are four choices for the Header area of your page - a cover, large banner, banner or title only.
A handy grid appears when moving pictures, text boxes or any embedded material making it simple to centre objects.

Change the banner image by selecting from those provided or by uploading your own picture. The background in this section of the page is an example of one of the images provided by Google sites. On some pages I have added my own photos to the banner area.
Extra text boxes can be added to the banner area which expands as text is added.
The footer is customised with a gradient chosen from uiGradients and has links to my blogs as well as a button added for email contact.
