IN-CLASS WORKSHOPPING AND PEER REVIEW ESSAYS
Students who participate in workshops write A papers! Each Formal Writing Assignment will go through at least two drafts before being submitted. The first draft of each assignment will be read and commented on by a group of your peers during an in-class workshop. You will receive a classwork grade of 100 for being on time and prepared with three stapled drafts of your essay. If you do not have three stapled drafts of your essay, you will receive a zero for the in-class workshop. After the in-class workshop, each group member will be responsible for writing 1-page response to the draft that you receive from one of your group members. You should not write about all the essays in the group, only your partner’s. Make sure that you type the date, the name of the assignment, your name, and the name of your peer review partner in the top left- hand corner of the page. You will need to upload one copy of your peer review essay to Canvas for grading and send one copy of your peer review essay to the writer. Because we will be work shopping papers, it will be impossible to keep your writing anonymous. Always keep in mind that everything you write in this class will likely be read by other members of the class. All peer review essays should be typed using standard essay format, double-spaced, 11 or 12 Times New Roman fonts.
