Children's Liturgy

So, what is it?

Children’s Liturgy was created as a way for Gods word to come alive in the minds of our youngest community members.

The Liturgy of the Word delivered in a fun and engaging way makes it accessible for young minds to understand.

Using conversation, movement, art and songs our dedicated volunteers bring joy and enthusiasm to learning about God and His Church.

What happens?

Who can attend?

At the beginning of each Saturday and Sunday Mass (from October 14/15 2023 – May 4/5 2024) the children age 3-12 are called to the front and from there the leaders bring the kids to their assigned room for Children’s Liturgy.

They watch a video about the gospel message and then break out into small groups for activities related to the message.

During the Offeratory song, the kids are brought back into the parish hall to rejoin their family for celebration of the Eucharist.

All children are welcome and may join the small groups at any time throughout the year, whether as a guest or a regular attendee, all are welcome to join.

*Parents are welcome to come with their child to observe the small group. We want everyone to feel confident and comfortable.

Why register my child(ren)?

By registering your child with the Faith and Family office, it gives us the opportunity to make sure we order enough materials and have an appropriate number of volunteers scheduled. Registration also provides you with information about our parish activities and ways for your family to be involved with the community.

Beyond the mundane organizational aspects of registration is the reason for attending in the first place, the only reason, Jesus Christ and the promise of an intimate and personal relationship with Him. Children’s liturgy is more than a fun way to spend Mass, it also provides the catechetical basis of our faith. Through regular attendance, active participation and with the support of their family, children can come to know Our King personally.
